you have the look like you could be Fairuza Balk's daughter. and fairuza had a range from sadistic to the straight face in comedy. visually that's what I see and would play that heavily.
Posted by LorelaiIt’s funny, I got that a lot especially when I had long hair and wore braided pigtails. But I have no Native American in me that I know of 🤷♀️ nice to know my look is flexible though!
You also should definitely be casted in Pocahontas if they decide to make the live action version of it 💗

Nothing is offensive because it’s purely for acting considerations.
Okay. My answer is nothing.
If you're serious about acting, starting off is going to be extremely tough. And, if you have bills to pay, you're going to need to take whatever you can get (plus you also have to build-up your resume). Picking and choosing roles isn't a luxury you'll be able to afford.
If you're lucky enough to establish yourself, by this point, you're probably going to gravitate towards projects that 'speak to you', as well as collaborating with directors and actors you admire.
Based on the above, asking the dxp community for suggestions is futile, unless this is all meant to be harmless, fantastical fun.click to expand
Posted by Saturn_ReturnsOf course. We are lucky in that our studio occasionally offers workshops with casting directors so you can hear directly from them! I haven’t attended yet bc I want to have a better feel for where I may shine. There’s no telling what all roles I may book, but I can be ready when it comes to specific roles I flourish in. In that, when I see an audition for X come up, I’ll have more confidence knowing it’s in my wheelhouse. I have no problem trying out any role however. I think that’s the nice thing about being a beginner is the canvas is relatively blank. Much opportunity for growth and learning. And it’s so much fun to try new things!Posted by AbbyNormalPosted by Saturn_ReturnsPosted by AbbyNormal

Troubled Anti-Hero
Neurotic Caregiver
Quirky Career Queen
It’s not to be picky on roles but to see where people might put me aesthetically. It’s still a very visual industry and I’m just not very good at placing myself. I’m still new so I’m really just worrying about practicing the craft and learning everything I can about the business side. It’s a bit of a futile exercise bc mostly I’ll probably be doing commercial and voiceover work. But I am interested to see how and where others see me! I got type casted at 18 when I went to do an audition for the girl next door type. They instead asked me to read for the bitch instead—which I nailed my first read! Big laughs from everyone! So that’s part of it lol I’m not a bitch irl so I have often wondered why I’m pegged for the bitch role haha it doesn’t bother me, it was actually fun to be a bitch pointedly. So yeah, that’s it really. But thank you for your input!

Interesting assignment, not that I agree with it.
The problem is, everyone perceives differently, so you're not always going to be associated with the same 'brand'. I'm assuming this exercise is for whittling down possible auditions?
Ultimately, it all comes down to the casting directors, which is very much out of your hands. It's no different to attending a job interview and not being the 'right fit' (whatever that is).click to expand

I quite appreciate his realistic approach. While some might find it daunting, I like to approach everything with all the information I can, whether I want to hear it or not. Plus, I can easily ignore what doesn’t suit me haha I don’t think he’s ever pointedly tried to attack me, and if so I didn’t notice 🤷♀️click to expand

I suppose it’s worth being more aware of your strengths but more from an external perspective.
Have you managed to create a shortlist yet?
But I get you – the homework needs to be done!click to expand

Hey! That’s a kick under the belt. I’d say this any time of the Month. You are cool and I like your persona here but I just don’t want to remember you as a guy who never had anything positive to add.
And you know that's completely untrue. You and others here have selective memories.
1) Whenever I do post something positive, most of you ignore it (or make bitchy comments).
2) Whenever I question something or make acute observations, you all act like I'm dampening your 'fun'. Well, sorry for exercising my grey matter!
3) Whenever I take someone down a peg, because they truly deserve it, you all start crying foul and playing the victim.
Based on the above, how does that in anyway encourage genuine conversation on what is supposed to be a discussion board?
Btw, I’m not here to entertain you but to entertain myself. Yes, that’s selfish but everyone’s here for selfish reasons.
I’m under no obligation to validate you, or to make you feel better about yourself or your own life – that’s your responsibility. And, if you truly consider yourself to be an adult, you’ll own and embrace that fact, without expecting others to provide ‘feel good’ distractions to ease your misery.
For the last few weeks, you’ve all been moaning about how dead dxp is, but you have yourselves to blame. Oh, the irony…
So, stop with the intolerance towards people who refuse to forsake their unique personalities, to assuage your own problems and insecurities, because that’s a very slippery slope towards fascism.

Posted by faileddI thought about trying on the “rich bitch” lol that could be fun 😅
A femdom. Definitely a Financial dominatrix for pay pigs / desparate simps in the bdsm community.
Anything that is actually connected to the money.
GET THAT MULAA SIS. 😜🤣🤣
