Synastry Mars in 8th House

Does anyone know anything about this aspect in a Synastry chart? I've always heard it's the house person who feels the energy and not the planet. But I also read somewhere that with Moon in 8th house and Mars in 8th house Synastry that it is the planets that feel the energy and not the house. I also read that when the woman is the planet and the man the house in these 2 aspects that the man feels she's too aggressive for him. He's repulsed. Is this true?
