Aqua/Alcohol
There's a few friends of mine that when they get plastered, another personality comes out that is NOT pleasant, which seems odd because ordinarily, these people are sweethearts. Of course, everyone is different when drunk, but, this is more than different . . it's a fuck-you asshole to every person in their path, even their children.
Seeing that these people are Aqua's, I was wondering if booze and Aqua's aren't a good mix. Has any Aqua's in here experienced that alcohol doesn't work for you? Does it make you into a raving bitch? I've read that Pisces (such as myself) shouldn't engage in drugs or alcohol, but, this quality seems to be prevelant in my Aqua friends, rather than Pisces.
Just curious . . has anybody else seem this? Does alcohol make you into a lunatic? It just seems so odd because when sober, you can't find a nicer person.

Additionally . . it's only in my female friends. The Aqua men are still the same people, just drunk.

For me personally as aquarius, I would say that in the past I was a "threashold alcoholic"!!, if there is such a term.....it probably all began in work - where I work the firm travel abroad alot and always return with bottles of wine from various countries like Chile, Argentina etc. for the crew to sample!! So at least twice a week, I'd merrily bring my bottle of wine home and sample it.....then the sampling became "bottle gone in less than an hour", over to off-license again for more....in the one nite....not on....I'd find myself quite tongue-nasty particulary to those closest to me and using foul, bad language - which usually I hate to hear in the everyday....and then the black-outs, wouldn't remember what I said or did the following day and that uugh feeling. Come hell or high water, I had to have a drink....and so hell did cometh!!!! I won't go into THAT one awful incident that happened one particular night just to say that I came out of it physically, mentallly and emotinally splattered!!!!, I still try to block it from my memory....but it's only when you are sick of being sick, that you will recover - and so I dramatically cut down on the vino etc. And yes, her hangs her head in shame, I was sometimes dam nasty to my son and would be racked with guilt the following day......so now I know my limit, any more than 3 glasses and I return to the land of gibberish.....so I stick to that and that's my comfort zone. I know I caused alot of unnecesary "drama" with Mr. Virgo while drinking - he now says I am so much nicer without drink:-) I remember I couldn't touch bacardi..I would immediately start a fight with my toe-nails on that!!! My grandmother was an alcoholic and my mother (aquarian also) has a tendency to overdo it - so it may be in the genes as they say!!!!
Anyway, enough said........onwards and upwards - and yes there were great times while on that drink, shame I can't remember them, isn't it:-)!!!!
Confession time over.

I wonder why, though? Some people are all sappy and crying about things that happened 20 years ago, some just puke and pass out, some are just dare-devils, some keep falling down and physically hurt themselves . . but, for some reason, it's hateful to people that are loved, and my curious mind can't help but wonder why?
Me thinks maybe it's because Aqua's are such free spirited people who don't like conformity, and don't like people putting labels on them . . . yet, to live in this world, there must be order and a degree of staying within the limits. So, when drunk, the angst of having to live in a box comes out.
Just curious . . you know me . . why, why, why, why?
Damn, WHY did they have to make that word in the first place? To make my head explode?
Why that emotion?
Oh, well, too sensitive of a topic, I suppose.

"So, no emotions...just lethargy and severe drooling."
lol, fun date !!!!!
I know for myself, and most Pisces I know . . we get all sappy, and apologizing and crying for every person we've ever stepped on. They say, the drunk speaks the truth. So, does this mean that the Aqua is actually . . angry?
Except for you, aquaaqi . . the world is just too dry and your true aim is to moisten it up. Concerned about global warming?

Interesting...
I always said if I drank, i'd probably be an alcoholic (not on any hard liquors or anything)....I'd rather drink than eat most times.
i usually drink with my aqua girl when we go out on dates. She is usually in control and just has a good time. Recently, she told me how she gets out of control when she drinks and of course it happened. She started acting bratty, rebellious, doing crazy stuff....but i liked it so it was ok...
hmmm...do i see a trend with aqua girls and the alcohol =)

i have 2 close aqua girlfriends and when one of them drinks a lot she gets mean, bitchy, and throws temper tantrums...and the other one becomes bi-sexual when she drinks
it is so funny that you just posted this question. i was going to ask something similar because i am realizing that the only time the aqua guy i am seeing is any fun is when he is wasted on liquor and/or pot. and he can drink a hella lot sometimes...a whole bottle of vodka in one night. and he drinks and smokes every night. so basically during the day he is an a.s.s. unless he wants my attention...then he is sweet as sugar. f-ing drama, i swear.
Let me add that she also becomes ungraceful (she trips, falls ,and gets bruises) and gets very aggressive (starts playfully hitting me and then jumps on me)
It all happends "suddenly" out of nowhere...yes, she is very entertaining...

Hey this is an interesting topic, thanks for posting it P-Angel. I wonder quite often if I should just give up drinking alcohol altogether. I am not addicted to it or feel I have a dependence on it but I do enjoy to drink when I go out socially. However when I drink I find unless I make an effort, I tend to drink too fast instead of pacing myself which means I can occasionally end up in a messy mess. Being under the influence of alcohol can bring any of the full spectrum of different emotions in me. It broadly depends of what mood or physical state I am in before I even a drop of alcohol gets past my lips. Sometimes I can also be aggressive, cry, be very dramatic, sing, be filled with lots of confidence, have no inhibitions at all, be arrogant, dogmatic, have a tantrum, even blackout and lose all memory of what happened until I literally and metaphorically come to my sense the next morning.
Apart from the swings in mood that come with excessive alcohol consumption, I don't think that I agree with it physically as I invariably wake up in the middle of the night with a huge thirst and am very restless ofr 1-2 hours. However if I do manage to drift back to sleep again I won't have much of a hangover the next day and will be ok.
So basically I really need to be very careful when I drink and pace it and know my limit and be sensible which is quite a challenge when alcohol generally fogs one's senses and judgement!

Yes I would say this is pretty accurate for me. As alcohol frees up my inhibitions and fogs my ability to judge what is appropriate to express and what is definitely not appropriate. But this can have a beneficial effect when it comes to sharinging loving and affectionate feelings with people that I would usually be too shy to express when completely sober!

"They say, the drunk speaks the truth.
-this is interesting...i always thought that a person is much more truthful under the influence of alcohol b/c one tends to lose some, if not all, inhibitions.
when my aqua bf gets drunk he is ALL OVER ME...and he is the sweetest guy in the world. and he will tell me the nicest things, about how he feels about me, which he doesn't usually say when sober. and he even did this right before he broke up with me last time...which i thought was strange. but, i think as an aqua male he puts his guard up big time and acts all tough, when really he is not such a tough guy. so, when he is drunk that guard comes down, and his true feelings come out.

i agree this is true with everyone. Sometimes it is too extreme because you cannot control what is expressed or not. I have to admit i have a pretty good time with my aqua when intoxicated.

What I don't get, is why is this juice needed to find courage? If a person feels a certain way, or has an opinion of something . . what makes you push it back and only allow it to surface while intoxicated?
Does this mean, that this way, whatever the emotion is, is how one really believes on the inside, yet, just suppresses it when sober?
Why? Why suppress in sobriety, if that's how you feel? Doesn't that then mean, that in your everyday life, you're actually living falsely, not true to yourself, or the people around you?

p-angel...it is easy for us water signs to be in touch with our feelings, because we are "feelers"...for other signs, i.e. aquas...it is not so easy.

To date, I haven't found anything in my life easy . . except loving.
But, I hear ya and I can relate because I do use my "feelers" to get through life.
Just wondering if Aqua's are really . . angry . . inside, or, is it more like "freedom" from social contraints?

i don't think they are angry...i think they are just really confused inside and they don't know how to deal with what they feel. and i don't think they are trying to be someone they are not, but they are not comfortable showing their true feelings...so it comes off to others that they are not true to themselves. if you are close enough to one (and i mean, really close), you will see the true side of them when they let the guard down...

yeah, moonchild, I see a quality that is exclusively relative in just the two signs of Aqua and Pisces, . . and now, that you've put it this way, I can now see the answer that prompted me to ask the question. I just had to use the vibrations of my feelings, instead of logic.
Thanks !!!

Maybe some are feeling anger because there is something bothering them during the times when you witness them being inebriated. It doesn't mean that all aquas are angry.
This reminds me of an earlier thread in which the "Id" and the "Ego" and the "Super Ego" were touched on. Maybe alcohol taps into a person's Id more than is apparent when he or she is sober so that more basic drives and urges are manifested. But this doesn't mean that this is how the person actually truly thinks or feels every day because it is my opinion that everyone has unpleasant urges that pop up but are then rejected and surpressed once they are subjected to the person's intelligence and Higher Thinking that are at play when one is sober and not much or at all when one is drunk.

I dont think we're angry at all. We are quite happy people....especially when someone "gets us", which is rare. When we are forced into a certain mold and expectation, which equal restraints, are put upon us thats when we're "angry"...more like uncomfortable.
Our problem, or atleast mine is, the way we are interpreted....
