Aquarius always listening

Ok so was hanging out with the Aqua I like, and usually with men I talk and assume they are not listening to me lol (to be fair I do just waffle on sometimes!) but this Aqua guy had remembered everything I have ever told him! We were talking about wine and he was like "yeah White Zifandel is your favourite" I was just gob smacked my ex fiance of three years didnt know what my favourite wine was and my dad still doesnt know my mums favourite flowers and they have been together 25 years!

Also we were talking about families and he ws like "oh yeah we kind of talked about this last time didt we its nice you and your mum get on now.". I like to think of myself as a listener but even I dont take in that much info about someone.

Is this an Aquarius trait? are you guys always listening and taing things in even if it seems like your morre interested in the Fox running through the garden? lol

Not me. I'm actually quite a poor listener. Unless I'm REALLY interested in the topic or the person.

um...he may have his mercury in capricorn or cancer. mercury in those two signs makes for an individual who can remember an outfit they wore two months ago. i know an aqua who remembers the things i've said...even the random things. he has his merc in cap.

personally, i wouldn't be surprised if aquas pretend not to remember things about others, when deep down...they do.

If I'm REALLY into a guy I'll remember even the tiniest of detail. I can recall conversations almost word for word from years ago.

If I'm not into someone I'll talk at the time but not recall much of it later on.

We DO listen....if we like you lots.

lol. Honestly, I'm only a horrible listener WHEN I either:
1. Don't care at all for what that person is saying
2. Realize that a person keeps repeating themselves over & over again
& 3. When someone is speaking about something that doesn't spark my interest.
And in all of these situations, I'll admit that I'm one to interrupt people when they fit into the categories above.

On the flip side though, Aquas are VERY observant & notice EVERYTHING. Trust me, we hear EVERYTHING you say. We NOTICE/pick up on EVERYTHING you do. Of course, what each Aqua picks up & decides to personally remember differs from Aqua to Aqua. But, Aquas generally have very GOOD MEMORIES. That's why we're so good at catching people in lies; we'll literally be able to notice if someone's story changed even just a little bit.

When Aquas are having a HEALTHY (keyword) debate/discussion with someone they're generally interested in & respect, we can be good listeners & might even remember certain things that person said that particularly sparked our interest.

Plus, keep in mind that Aquas, in the beginning stages of getting to know someone, would prefer the other person go 1st. They'd prefer the other person reveal themselves & open up about everything; and hey the reason we're like this is b/c it saves us alot of hard work, analyzing & "testing" when another person voluntarily tells us things we would've otherwise had to ask for. When we are listening to someone else speak (& especially when it's a topic we're curious about OR want more info on) we literally take in everything that person is saying.

We can hold still & keep our lips sealed as long as what somoeone is saying to us is something we can use against them, either in a good OR bad way. Hey, sometimes people even PURPOSELY remember things just so they can impress the person by repeating things. This is an old trick alot of guys use to give off the signal to a woman that he's a "good listener"

I pay attention to everything. Sometimes I can overhear conversations about 5 feet away from me and I listen in on those too. Not on purpose really but sometimes you just can;t help but overhear other people. I always seems to find myself participating in 3-4 different conversations whenever out I'm in public. There's a lot to learn out there.

What you said is so true, krysrenee. I don't listen to words all that much (my mind is often wanding), but I pay super close attention to what the person is saying with their facial expressions/body language and movement. I sense that stuff so strongly its almost like its being screamed through a microphone. It comes naturally though. My eyes are more alert than my ears, I guess.

@Shadows...YES yes YES! I am BIG on body language & watching someone's mannerisms. It's not to say that I think people are full of shXt when they speak, BUT hey Aquas are generally supsicious & over-analyzing of anything they don't yet trust, so you might as well say that us observing closely that person's body language & mannerisms is like our "confirmation" or "test" to make sure what the person is saying is matching up with their body language.

That's another reason why I'm not a big fan of online dating and/or dating someone from a distance. NON verbal communication says more about a person moreso than what it is they are ACTUALLY saying. This is also another reason why I strongly DISCOURAGE folks who get to know a new potential via text messages. There's no originality in it. There's no way to see how that person is saying it; there's no way to be there face to face to observe the things that can only be seen in person.

I pay attention to body language & if anything I pay MORE attention to what a person is NOT saying moreso than what they're actually saying. And since body language is often sub-conscious, I'd trust a person's body language to tell me a version of a story moreso than words coming from someone's mouth.

Much more honest too if you ask me. Which of course, you didnt. 😄

Yep. Same as most of the above. If I don't really like someone then I won't pay them much attention or bother with them. I'll be civil and "listen" but most of the time I'm sat there thinking about other stuff. A lot goes on in my mind but I've been called a very good listener and also I have a pretty good memory according to some. Though there are certain things that I'd rather forget. Damn memory! 😢

I would think this would have more to do with the placement of Mercury in certain signs and houses, as well as aspects towards it, than simply being a trait of Aquarius. For example, I think someone with Mercury in an air sign would most likely be more attentive than someone with Mercury in a water sign, for example. Libra would also be a good placement. I think someone with Mercury in the 3rd house would also benefit when it comes to attention. Lastly, positive aspects towards mercury, such as trines and sextiles, could prove influential in a person's ability to pay attention and listen.

I hear all and see all - it just kinda happens (and I have a remarkably good memory for conversations and spoken information - even more so than faces). Names are a bit hit and miss though.

Case in point - a few days ago I went to the gym with a friend. I used to train seriously about ten years ago. During the visit I didn't train, I just hung around talking to the receptionist. Two guy finished their workout and sat in the seated area behind me, chatting and drinking their protein shakes.

They get up to leave and one of them comes over and taps me on the shoulder 'You don't remember me do you?'. To which I replied 'Of course I do your x'. I recognised him but ordinarily I would have had no idea what his name was. Where it not for the fact that I overheard their entire conversation, despite giving the receptionist what she thought was my undivided attention.

Like I said, I hear and see everything - so its a good job I'm very discrete 🙂
