This is a nice article I read that discusses Aquas:
>>>>Hi, I love your site. I have a question about star signs that are described as unemotional, like Aquarius, Sagittarius, and Gemini. Does being an unemotional or detached star sign mean you don't care about others or you don't have emotions?>>>>>>No not at all. Every person is emotional in the sense that they have emotions that are powerful. Every person has the Moon, which represents emotions, in their chart. What varies is the sign placement of the Moon which amounts very much to a " style " of expressing and experiencing emotions, as well as other factors, such as the aspects the Moon makes to other planets and points, as well as the house position of the Moon. A person with an Aquarius Moon has just as many feelings and emotions as a person with the classically "emotional" Moon sign of Cancer, for example. The manner in which the Aquarius Moon person expresses, manages, and channels emotions is radically different than the way a Cancer Moon person goes about it, however. People who don't care about people or don't seem to display emotions are uncommon and they belong to all the different Moon sign and star sign groups. Generally, it's a sociopathic thing rather than an astrological phenomena. The Moon sign can greatly affect how a person comes across on an emotional level. Some people "recover" easily on an emotional level, and might be considered less emotional compared to someone who nurses emotional wounds. It's all about the way people manage, express, and deal with their emotions.

actually a guy,
he did the typical dissecting and criticizing.
I'm a very easy going person, so i don't like to get in a person's personal space and tell them everything they did wrong or could do better. irritating. I threw back some nice sharp backhanded comments and sarcasm and that did the trick. He just got all quiet and began to brooood. Guess it was great of him to keep his anger to himself, but he was obviously pissed off. anyway, he never did that again.
Actually most Virgo guys and gals i have met have been very pleasant...just don't invade my personal space, i don't take tooo well to it and its why i don't do it to others.

Prime,
getting back to the idea of meme (is that how u spell it?), from what i understand u explained it as a form of self suggestion and u made connections as far as how it relates to astrology. I thought about this because i had some thoughts like these before (not really placing a label on the idea), not just astrology, but also religion for example. I thought it was a good point, some people without thinking could read a general description (lets say their sign's traits, or scripture)and not really think on a conscious level that they are accepting that information. When situations arise and experienced, upon reflection a person can think about their character traits and relate it to a given situation and find answers to reinforce the idea of the initial information that was being absorbed at an earlier time. I think alot of this may be responsible for many belief systems and even emotions which play a role in our thinking.

Aquas are sensitive. And an undeveloped Aqua is very emotional. Emotions are strong within them (same as in Pisces). For that reason, it freaks them out. They learn to hide it in their early years. The downside of this, it's too heavy burden for them to carry.
Tip to Aquas:
Emotions do have their own logic. Hiding it is tactless and pathetic practise. Lerning to use it is the most effective.

*Memes are here to stay. The choice that we really have is what memes we want to adopt.
- i think they have been here all along, they just didn't have a name for it before.

Personally
i think since different people are different, they will react to a given culture's idea of beauty differently. I'm sure there is a percentage of the population that feels somewhat pressured (in varying degrees) to be attracted to certain traits. However, there are others who are inclined towards something different. Like SB mentioned about blondes, maybe it has an exotic appeal to her, i see many people attracted to people outside of their race for just this reason. I think in most cases it can be a combination of instinctual attraction and social expectations.
