Confused about an Aqua

Hello. Need to understand this. I have this Aquarius "friend", we used to text and talk everyday non-stop. Started to really like him and thought our friendship was developing into a romantic relationship. He never made any moves or tried to get intimate with me, but he would call and do kind things for me that would make me confused; gifts, flowers, dinners. I eventually tried to put him in the friend-zone because I didn't know if he was romantically interested in me, but then he would do weird stuff like compliment me on my hair and drive 2 hours to take me to a spot for dinner.
I told him I was starting to get confused and I wanted to know if he had any feelings for me. He didn't answer, but asked me instead. I said "yes" I have feelings for you and he didn't respond. So for the next 2 months we carry on the same, texting and messaging everyday. I started to get tired of it and confronted him and asked him what he wanted because friends don't do stuff like this or communicate like this everyday. He seemed genuinely confused when I said this. I bluntly told him that I didn't want him as a friend and I want more than friendship.
So now, he randomly starts a conversation via text and doesn't respond back until a few hours or days later.
What's his deal? I told him we should talk about this, and he avoids the conversation at all cost. I have limited my interaction with him. I don't want him to completely leave but I need to understand what it is that he wants. Friendship or romance? But he avoids the "talk"... how do I get him to open up and talk about this?

I can see why he’s confused.. for aquas, that’s just how it is. You become closer and closer. He is committed to you then you don’t need to have the talk. Enjoy it. He clearly likes you a lot. You’re letting your own head get to you.

I can see why he’s confused.. for aquas, that’s just how it is. You become closer and closer. He is committed to you then you don’t need to have the talk. Enjoy it. He clearly likes you a lot. You’re letting your own head get to you.

As an aqua I don't need to label or talk about rules or boundaries. Once I do something romantic or make small moves of enjoyment, I'm committed.
I cuddled my way into a relationship with my sag.
We know we love each other and that's enough.
I love cuddling ... but he doesn't like PDA, part of the reason he is physically distant, I think?

I dont know any aquas that aren't cuddly, and the only reason I can think if I'm not cuddly is that I'm trying to resist my feelings or I don't have any.
With my sag I can tell by his energy, there's so much love in our kisses and the way he feels when I hold him. I just know and I trust him purely based on his energy.

If I were you I would keep doing what he wants, don't be pushy we can feel all of your moods and desires. Just because we know them doesn't mean we will react to them. We only go as fast as our hearts tell us too and being an aqua that could be months or a year..

I was getting too attached and wanted to know what was going on. He stopped taking me out to dinners on a regular in November and now when we go out we go with a group of friends. Part of my doing as well, didn't want to be left alone with him. But now he is doing the same... group outings, but he is still being nice. But sometimes I feel that he is just being polite. Posted by SmidgeI did this exact thing with my Aqua...he went right with it and escalated things the way that he wanted to until I hard stopped the conversation at sexual intimacy. He took a breather and came back and I said exactly what he did until it evolved to just before sexual content and then he hard stopped it. I took that as him respecting my boundaries on that.

It's a thing where you have to take the time to get to know your own individual Aqua. No two same are alike. Everything is done by feel, not conversation. So flow with them...I get it now. He's a very intelligent and intuitive man and I am absolutely falling in love with him as fast as he's falling in love with me.
