Before you go and hide your original thread posted . Yes you had a falling out with an Aqua, that was obviously not into you. You placed expectations, he didn't reciprocate. Now, we are all controlling, manipulative people... not all aquas are the same btw. I really do hate blanket statements like that. Btw the only one that appears ignorant and unable to hold an intelligent discourse is the one tossing insults every other sentence. I really do hope you go and enjoy life, Aquas are obviously not the sign for you.

OK! Finally posting! OK so I took the tip to stimulate an aqua's brain to attain a deeper connection, but every time I attempt to bring a rather stimulating question or topic to the conversation, my aqua just looks at me with a timid/confused face. Why? He is not like this when he is conversing with his friends (regarding topics that are more simpler than the ones I bring up or just as challenging). And, I have always been challenging, this is not me doing a complete 180 and changing my behavior on him. Is is not comfortable with me? What's the deal?click to expand

I used to be this way and it caused me alot of pain and extra shit I had to deal with. I only read the last page and all the insults made me read it from the start. Never once did I tell her not to express her views. Never once did I attack her for what she said about Aquas. I said perhaps her perceptions where clouded because of what happened.

This is the aquarius forum. If you're not expecting Aquarius to somewhat defend what it is to be us then *shrugs*. Defending or elaborating? Attacking or explaining? Acknowledging or dismissing?

But, here you are. The Truth hurts, was is right for me to point that out, um maybe, maybe not. But it's the truth. All her past forums were about an aqua boy that didn't return the love.
Let me break this down for you, My father a Leo wasn't always there for, am I crying about it? Hell no, because it is what it is. I can dwell on that shit or let it go. I rather let it go and move on. I was an abusive relationship with an Aries, do you see me, on the aries forum, saying some crazy shit. No, because they are not him. I don't blame other people for someone's fucked up way of life. We are all grown ass adults and because I chose to handle things differently doesn't make it right nor wrong.

When I read her posts they didn't seem immature to me. She even went as far to say "SOME Aquas". Yea she said it with passion (all caps and !!!) but no name calling, cursing, or getting personal. @qeyqueen - I usually own up to my shit. No I don't expect everyone to coddle me. In fact I don't need everyone to agree with me. Actually most times I'm silent and just observe because my purpose here isn't to incite drama (well sometimes).

I do have this Aqua pride and willing to defend the views of my aquas even if we are all different. It does relate back to that self-control. I was originally going to post how that would tie in with control of others but I fell asleep earlier. But those are two very forms of control and not one of the same thing.

You must be willing to hear and accept someone else's viewpoint of you if you're truly going to learn about your whole self. Devaluing someone else's opinion of you makes just as much sense as taking down all the mirrors in your house. I agree with that 100% I'm always willing to learn about others, as well as myself. I'm not perfect and I'm open to any type of communication but when it becomes bias on what people perceive it to be, that can lead into something completely different.

What about if the others view may be distorted or a misconception based upon what has transpired in their past? A tainted view if you will? That's all I was trying to get at earlier. I agree that to get a decent idea of oneself, you will need input from others from time to time. But an outside person is only going to have a perceived perception, I know who I am...you see what I show you, which may not be everything of who I am.

@sugar - nah I can see that. I mean I've definitely attacked for no reason before. Just like I love attacking Denver lol. There's just something very amusing about it. I mean I'm definitely not the odd aqua out but I try to self-reflect most times that means owning my flaws and ways to correct it. When I read her posts they didn't seem immature to me. She even went as far to say "SOME Aquas". Yea she said it with passion (all caps and !!!) but no name calling, cursing, or getting personal.
