i went with the subsidized stafford loan. payments and interest don't start until 6 months after you graduate.

i went with the lender recommended by my school, which was wachovia.

Yeah, my school is recommending Comerica, Chase, LaSalle, Charter, and a few others that I'm not a member of. I like credit unions.

wow, haha, that's a lot of recommendations. my dad swears by chase but i didn't go through them.
to answer yer question notso, i'm pretty sure the lenders decide the interest rate so if you can find their diff rates that's one way you can narrow down the candidates.

yeah why not thats what theyre there for...or if your credits good go for a private loan any student loan payments wont have to be made until 6months after graduation
