have you ever received food as a gift from your GF? I just received one, and today is not my birthday, nothing special today
i heard it from somewhere, food as a gift or hand made stuff from your love one actually mean something....i cant remember what does it mean, or its just a myth?
and she was born on Dec 23 (if it has anything to do with her sign) and she love cooking

"She's on the same cusp as me and I looooovvvvveeee cooking "
i know it....seem like both of you have alot of similiarities
hahaha....we call it "beef rendang", indonesian food....hardly found it in SG...but she has their recipes
that pic look scary
"You haven't said anything about liking or not liking it, CallMeAlienRobot."
yeahh i like it, but thats not my favorite food....well, i'm not picky...i eat just about anything
sb, so you give it to your friends, because they did something nice (help) to you?
Well, it depends with on the person. I may decide to cook for one person then I may decide to take another person out smile
In my culture too, we cook as a thank you. When you return the bowl u have to return it with food from yourself in there...never empty...unless they pick it up themselves.
Sometimes you never get your bowl back...
LOL...it becomes like a war with the women, "make sure you give me my bowl back"...then my mom and aunts started marking there bowls...its just crazy
For guys you give them the cheap bowls...they dont care, there just happy to get good home cooked food.
i think, woman who love cooking is a sign that she gonna be a good mom....
and believe what..she treat me like her kid, like remind me to something important, help me without being asked, protect me lol and so on...
HEEEEYYYYY Lady M smile

i can tolerate it. and i enjoy it...i have no reason to dislike it.....
SB, Lady_M....funny culture...btw she is chinese, i dont think thats her culture....I'm 25% japanese, 75% chinese....born & graduated in japan, grew up in indonesia, so i dont know any spesific culture.....the first time i failed my interview bcoz of that non-sense japanese culture...i made alot of eye contact with the interviewer. and eye contact is not polite in japan....i just knew it after one of my friend told me. describing yourself too much is also not polite in there....so if one of you want to work in japanese company, never read interview tips on internet...it wont work

My dad is also very patriotic. Yes, they'll be back soon, but they'll go to highschool. It was hard for them at first, because they didnt speak the language at all, and kids can be cruel. My lil sis never liked it as much as my bro, but they grew to like it...ther ready to come back now tho. School transition was fine for them, bcuz they go to a private british school for international students, so everyone in the school is kinda out of place in the country, besides the local rich kids.
I know how to cook, but I do not enjoy cooking...even for myself. I always read a book so, my sister could be stuck cooking, but they caught on...

Now they are fluent, they speak it better than me and my older sis. They went from learning spanish to french, so they speak alot of other stuff too. My bro liked it bcuz of all the freedom he got...he's never home. My sis is still not in love with the place, but she deals. Its bcuz there young...I wouldve had a hard time just bcuz I am used to my life here...my mom tried to get me to go, but I couldn't do it.
