How did you guys deal with Leo egoness?

LoL... as you all know, I have Taurus sun Aqua moon and once I dated a leo moon man ( Taurus sun) and his ego and his need for attention really annoyed me... then, now I'm entering myself to date a leo man.. and he's already showing similar traits of extreme self confidence etc.... look, I'm sure he's amazing but I do like humble people.. I know Aqua is so drawn to Leo energy. So I'm just wondering, how do you normally deal with it? Like, do you poke at it when they give you smart ass comments about how amazing they are or do you ignore them lol... ? I'm curious of how Aqua women handle this?

i find it really easy peasy and this was before i knew astrology.

Leo rising,(and their cusps) always finds me, and leo dominant, and leo moons in men.

Yeah well, my ex was a Taurus sun and Leo moon . At first it was all awesome as he was extremely romantic. But once we get on to the dance floor he wants all the spot light lol... and I also like to shine haha.. he came over one time and my friends didn't like him coz he cudnt stop talking about himself.... n now this Leo man, he's already saying amazing things about himself which I'm sure he is but like, i am struggling to get used to it. The Aqua guy was just so bloody humble it's like a complete opposite.

It gets annoying over time. Really annoying. Just be careful because this 'egoness' of selfishness isn't going to change when you are in a relationship. If you like humble people, this will definitely become a dealbreaker if you take this further because Leo's don't change for anyone and they certainly will not appreciate being poked at. They may like it in the beginning because you challenge them with it and they like challenges. They may even joke around, but it's all show. Inside their ego's do get hurt if you make fun of them. But in relationships it gets old over time and his ego will be hurt causing him to shut down and shut you out.

From your story I get the feeling you already know the Aqua was a better match for you (even though you broke up). Also I don't love Leo people. They are drawn to me but I don't think we match well.

Leo has the greatest egoness of the whole zodiac. They don't EVEN think of you, they only think how to do what they got in their brains. They talk about themselves all the time etc.

Yeah... mm this sucks.... T_T .. I think it might not be as good, I need to see him and study him more.... I hope he has more subtle energy maybe some water to cool down that egoness. I'm not an Aquarius but i'm dating a guy who has his sun in the cancer-leo cusp, has a leo mercury, a leo venus and a leo mars. Maybe i can give you some insights.

We've been dating for ten long years. He's needy, doesn't think things through before acting, dramatic, bossy (kinda) and a little bit of a control freak. But he's also reliable, charming, caring, protective, funny, innocent, loyal, generous, creative. Most important of all, he would give the world to those he cares about.

He does have an ego that must be stroked but is that really something that hard to put up with when he has so much to give? Not for me.

i find Leo/Taurus square very different with different sun signs,placements.

but always the same in which they want to take care of you and don't you worry your pretty head over nothing kind of feeling.

the Taurus sun/Leo moon ended up with a Sagittarius sun. He also had an Aries venus. lol

I feel like I am somewhat qualified to answer this question for 3 reasons.

1.) I am a Leo, with a Libra moon.

2.) I dated a Taurus for many years.

3.) My recent ex girlfriend is an Aqua with a cancer moon.

The Leo and the Aqua will be very different in how they act and how they are, but in certain aspects Leos and Aquas are similar.

Firstly, if you want to date the Leo, date the Leo for his assets and attributes and what exactly it is about this Leo that you are attracted to, comparing him to your Aqua ex isn't going to end well because you will spend time drawing comparison which will take you away from understanding your Leo.

Firstly us Leo's definitely have an ego, after all we are the king of the jungle. And sometimes our ego is selfish in the sense that we will do grand gestures etc and expect something in return (in the form of gratitude or stroking the ego). But once we fall for you, then that is it, we will go out of our way to do things for you that you wouldn't even imagine were possible based on how we behave and act.

I agree that stroking a Leo's ego can get annoying over time, however a Leo's ego can also be used to control them if you know what you are doing. The vital key is here to communicate and set boundaries, and once the Leo is crossing those boundaries and becomes egotistically needy then tell him then and there. His ego will cause him to pull back and rationalise.

Yes they can also be impulsive but over time we do learn how to calm this as well. Being impulsive is part of our nature. Think of it like this, if a Leos impulse works in your favour then you will see it as a surprise, a bit of fun and spontaneous, which is what women like.

When the Leos ego is bruised, its bruised lol, but the Leo also needs to learn not to be too cocky and put himself above others without proving his worth (I am referring to the comment he made about being better than guys you previously dated).

I say give the guy a chance, but before you do that, know exactly what it is you want in a bloke. Don't compare him or draw comparisons to your Aqua. You should have a list of qualities and the leo and aqua need to have some or all of those qualities on that list. Secondly once you know what you want from a guy, compare the Leo to your quality list and work out how much you of the negative stuff you can handle.

Good question!! I think that all 3 can be stubborn in their own ways. I am a Leo and have dated an Aqua and a Taurus - for me the most damaging stubbornness is definitely that of an Aquarius.

Leo - Can be stubborn when it comes to our beliefs, morals and ethics. Its something that we do not change for anyone. We can also be stubborn when it comes to our thought process because we are logical people.

Taurus - My ex was a Taurus and in my opinion her stubbornness was immature and without validation. She was the type of person who would do what she wanted to do, create and argument, let the argument happen and then reset herself. An example I can provide is that one time I was getting my car serviced, I was inside the car depot and my ex was smoking in my car because it was raining. I hate people smoking in my car because I don't like the stale cigarette smell. She knew this and still chose to smoke when she had an umbrella and either could have stood outside or chosen not to smoke. I hit the roof!!!! lol

Aquarius - My most recent ex and the love of my life. I still have very strong feelings for this girl but we do need to talk and sort things out and see where they can go. She basically is stubborn in the sense of once she has made a decision she will stick to it, despite a change in the circumstances. Which I find rather odd because I never had an Aquarius down as a black and white person. They seem to be more grey. She would happily cause herself emotional pain to stick to her decision and deal with it rather than change her decision to suit the circumstances.

From memory she is a Aqua Sun Cancer Moon and a Carpicorn Mercury. That's all I can remember. I cant remember her time of birth to be honest so I only have generic placements.

She definitely does have a lot of fixedity, especially when it comes to dealing with or handling certain emotional situations. She can be quite passive aggressive in the sense that she will just ignore certain scenarios, emotions, issues etc.

When I said she would rather cause herself emotional pain, that was more of an opinion from observation when it comes to me and her. We both work in the same place so even though we don't talk we still spend a lot of time in each others company.

She used to react quite negatively (emotions wise) to my name being mentioned, refused to work with me on a work related project etc, and only recently has she started to speak to me again via email. I refer to her causing herself emotional pain because I have reached out a few occasions to try and smooth things over because we work together and its best to maintain professionalism and she completely ignored my emails. The way I see it is would make far more sense to have a conversation and draw up some ground rules so boundaries aren't crossed. This way confusion or misunderstanding don't occur. She just refused to acknowledge my existence. lol
