I miss my parents

It's been such a rough time there in my hometown.

It depressed me a lot these last few months.

I woke up today to a text from my dad. It's a morning greeting with my childhood nickname mentioned.

I feel like really emotional when i saw that text. It's been ages since i heard that nickname. It gave me warmth.

And i remember how they tried to make me feel like their sweetheart no matter how messed up their marriage and our family life was.

I miss my dad and my mom. So bad.
