Looking young for your age?

I've been told I look younger too, I think its because of my good skin.

I really like this post! I look really young for my age as well. It's because my metabolism wouldn't slow down and I'm stuck on 90 IIbs with a 5'3 height. At first I thought it was my mongolian genes, bit my cousins are aging beautifully. lol Also, I have a babyface so that doesn't help me. Although others would love to look young and I don't mind either, it's disadvantageous when it comes to work. Who cares about love at this point. I hardly ever get supervisor positions that I apply for no matter how experienced and well suited I am for the position because they think I'm a kid. Since the employer can't take me seriously, they figured neither will my subordinates. Even with jobs, my employers don't trust me with difficult/challenging task. They always give me the tedious an easy task that even a grade 3 student can do. Although people envy me for getting the easier tasks, I personally hate it because it really undermines my potential and insults my intellect and capacity. Looking young has its advantages in certain aspects of life, but not in your professional life. I wonder what's gonna happen whenI start hitting the courts as an advocate!

I can understand the OP's frustration with looking young, although not in the same way. I have become a cougar in a way because younger guys are attracted to me thinking I'm their age; meanwhile I have absolutely no interest in younger men.

Look up "Peter pan gene". A British study talks about people who look young. Although it's a single study and may not have anything concrete in it, I still found comfort on it.

BTW, I'm born early Feb too, although I don't think there is any correlation to between the two. I know 2 gyals, different age but same bday, Feb 5th, and they look their age. One actually looks older than her age.

Man, I wish I could relate to this I really do.

im born early feb and people tend to think im around 22, im actually 29. I get asked for I.D often, which I take as a compliment!

Sums me up in a nutshell lol. I do get carded a lot if I visit a new place but luckily a lot of people know me on the local scene.

Yeah I suppose it's a blessing in disguise though! I can literally use photos from 10 years ago and still get away with it 😛

One drawback is you tend to draw in the younger crowd and I'm not even old by any standards but I would like to move away from attracting teens.

Same goes for me, people I haven't seen 5-10 years ago still say I look the same, the only thing that's changed is my hair style .

Yeh I look really really young compared to everyone from my high school....even people below me 😐...or maybe thats just me being hotter....who knows...but I think the biggest reason we look young is because of the child inside us refuses to become a sour bitter old soul....I laugh and smile all the time naturally and I think thats what keeps me young....im 27 and ppl have told me I look 19-20....I remember i was sitting in a room with a 17yo guy who was taller than me and all these little girls came up and asked how old were we and they all thought i was younger than the 17yo sucked to be him then....awkward...another thing is I'm always approached by young guys 17 upwards...I don't mind cos i know they got the energy its just the lack of experience smarts thats a turn off oh well
