North Korea has the bomb

Well, damn.
I reckon it's just a matter of time before the Japanese will get their own.
Yes this is serious alright. And North Korea are also displaying defiance and conceit at the nervousness and pleas of the rest of the international community asking them to desist from any dabbling with their nuclear bomb. I think something should be done to get them to stop their activities in this area immediately.
I'm wondering was the US invasion of Iraq supposed to frighten off North Korea from considering any invasive attacks on them? Because surely the nuclear bomb is the worst weapon of mass destruction in existence today.
?The United States, South Korea, Japan and China have all warned North Korea, a secretive communist state, against the test.? China is N. Korea?s closest ally and even they criticized what for what they allegedly did. I read somewhere else that Britain, Russia, Germany, France, Australia and a few other countries are backing the ?Power Houses? on this one.
What I also find interesting is in the article, I quote, ?In 2003, North Korea pulled out of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty when the U.S. accused it of a secret nuclear program.? Many times, the U.S. doesn't act out of haste or power, but rather out of concern for the immediate regions for which can be affected. In this case, the U.S. turned out to be right about the nuclear program. Perhaps that?s why there are many nations coming together to condemn this testing?
Archer, I think you?re right ? Japan will be next to state they have a nuclear weapon arsenal and it?s only a matter of time that every country that has this type of arsenal will be using it as a scare tactic to get nations to back off. Almost every continent has a supply now.
This will be something to watch in the days to come because I strongly feel this isn?t just going to be a slap on the wrist for N. Korea.
oops, sorry...not Archer!
Yama, sorry, Yama.
Yes, Archer. I've seen it. Were you making reference to the movie because of what is shared in the movie: about the UN being the biggest arms dealers and not individuals? and how these weapons are exported and by whom?
Oh and that machete scene was horrible!
No, Prime. It's not going to be that extreme. Yes, China will have some pressure, but Japan will too. The bullys are going to try to make sure that Japan doesn't have its own arsenal or any in the works and the UN is going to ask China to take the lead in getting NK to cooperate.
I'm thinking there will be riots, threats made, etc. But NK is a very poor country. What do they have to gain if they use these weapons? If they strike SK, China and SK forces will overpower that country. So if they claim by having these weapons is to keep military out of their country, this can't help their economy any more or even less.
If NK doesn't conform, for lack of better words, I bet there will be a meeting of UN/World leaders to come up with a solution, which I think is dumb.
It's like yanking a dog's chain. The more you yank, the more agitated they get. However, if you leave the dog alone, it sleeps.
At this point, it's speculation. Really the only thing to go on is seismic activity for that region.
You're right about patting on the back. They already have Japan, China, SK, and Russia trying to deal with them directly.
Did they set it off under the sea? What about the fish..no-one seems to consider marine life/habitat. I'll tell you what..these guys are going to be the death of us all..they are nuts!! I teach English as a second language and to even get there, there are 6 pages of goverment issues that you have swear not to mention/discuss etc. Let's be nice to Koreans!!
Sola, it was underground and they "claim" there was no leak of radioactive material, which I have a hard believeing because otherwise on what other basis do they claim this alleged testing was successful?
"they may want some nukes too."
If they don't already...our world has become one of paranoia and suspicions. But on the same token, we are naive to what may actually be occuring right before our eyes.
This North Korean despot needs to be overthrown. It's the method to use that's important. I reckon lots of diplomacy from the west and hard handed tough talking from China to tell him to desist nuclear experimentation immediately.
"This North Korean despot needs to be overthrown."
Which is exactly the point of the nuclear experiment.
How do you mean? I don't get ya yama.
"Which is exactly the point of the nuclear experiment."
They want to become the 9th nation to claim to have nuclear weapons to join the arms race. It's part of the bully system. If you mess with the bull you get the horns. North Korea is such a poverish nation that they are doing what they feel is the best defense to send a message to Asia and the rest of the world "Hey,we're just as powerful as you." They apparently have enough plutonium to make 5 bombs. It's a big playground for WMD's and NK has decided to be the new kid on the block, which will come with consequences.
Yes ok I get it but he still needs to be overthrown somehow. They western allies were able to topple Saddam Hussein so why not this little guy. The inhabitants of North Korea are poor and they probably destest him too even in spite of all the propaganda. The internet's great for dispelling heavy duty propaganda come to mention it.
"How do you mean? I don't get ya yama."
No one would dare try anything, now when it's there's a pretty good chance he has nukes.
...I didn't get much sleep.Tongue
Yep, but I'm on a holiday.Tongue
I don't know, this whole thing is kinda iffy.
Why would the Russians play along with this?
