I hear more and more from married couples, some with children, that they have an open marriage and they think it actually helps the marriage. Thoughts?
I can't understand why people think that's healthy. It just doesn't seem right, you know? You're right--then why even get married. Maybe for the kids? But in the long run, what kind of idea will the kids grow up to have about family and marriage? It comes down to self control. No one seems to be able to tell themselves NO anymore. Just because a couple agrees to it within the relationship, doesn't make it right. It's not my place to judge what anyone else does, but come on! What is happening to the concept of morality? What in the hell will the next generation be like?
I think if people want have an open marriage- they're happy with their decision as a couple, and they aren't hurting other participating adults.. then more power to them. Probably not a good idea if you have children because it will more than likely confuse them. I personally couldn't do it, nor would I want to be with a guy who wanted to. I don't know about "self-control".. because quit often, people get married for reasons other than love.
Uh, no not really. Yes aquarians are a bit shy about commitment, but I wouldn't ever want to share if i were married. I would not be pleasant to be around if i found out my husband had sex with someone else.
As for myself, random sex is boring so NO,wouldn't happen.I think open marriages are for lame, sucky people who can't be more creative with sex to keep it entertaining and good after years and years. If your really "in love" you tend to keep falling "in love" over and over again or at least thats what is and has been happening with my own relationship over the years.Stupid little things gets you laughing or trivial jestures, looks, etc.gets you feeling gitty and passionate every once in awhile after the "boring" or trying times, the "butterflies" always come back I think is what im getting at lol,its emo😛
