Saying it's destiny or a soulmate.....

Everything I read about Aquas say if you say this they will run, but it seems like looking through Aqua threads, that they are trying to find the same thing as everyone else and believe in this too.

There is no contradiction. Aquas only select the love of their life much more careful than any other sign. So they are either single until late in their age, or the happiest and long term married people. But you won't hear about them jumping from a relationship to another. Not from their mouth, anyway, since they won't consider many of the "dates" discussed in the various threads of this forum as "relationships". If an Aqua does not consider you as a long-term material after the initial stages of dating, he will "run". Simple.

I will give myself up wholeheartedly. It will be on my partner if anything happens. I put complete faith and trust in my partner and don't have any insecurities in love. I can do this from the beginning. I'm extremely open to love. Heartache makes me stronger, but I also can pick up the pieces easier cause I detach so quickly when it's over.

Yes I sure am. He's just getting out of a long relationship and so am I. I don't ever do rebound stuff though. I start with a clean slate every time. I really hope he isn't hung up on his ex cause I'm completely different from her. Like night and day. We've both been single for about 8 months

But every sign's myth upholds a double-standard or two. This one is just about control. The basis is: Aquas get to say when, where and how high.

Because it is about control lol if it were about soulmates sure, but this is really about people feeling better away wanting it their own way (Aqua isn't the only sign that has this myth - maybe it gets peddled for every Fixed sign).

I do agree. Aqua does look for a serious long term partnership and very very picky of who they choose 🙂

What I took from the OP is: why is it ok for an Aqua to declare the romance as "soulmates" when the other side has to hold off from using any of those same words that might scare them off?

ooohhhhhh i gotcha.. no that's people not unerstanding Aquas or more so listening to sterotypes.. its all about timing tbh. say it too soon and yes Aquas will pull back. But deep down we all secretly want to find that other half of ourselves or our partner in crime, or at least that is my opinion. It's just hard to find someone willing to put up with all the shit we can put them through.

i love to hear that stuff tbh, it doesn't freak me out or make me run. it would make me melt TBH, big ol icy aqua heart is such a romantic.. we just hide that shit.

Hell yay. My way or the high way is def the dark side of Aqua men. !! The trick is to not put up with it so much. Let them win if they deserve of it.... they secretly love women they will show them the higher way... they may get annoyed at first but they will stick around ... coz they deep down crave strong , independent n not a doormat. They may purposely throw annoying behaviour at u to see ur reaction lol. If u stay quiet n pretend everything is ok, they get bored n move on lol... if u pin points what u don't appreciate about their behavoour in a logical, straight forward and calm manner they will love u more for it.. they don't like u unnessary emotional drama. I think in the beginning they will test u again n again... they admire emotional intelligence people who can control their emotion n not react like a kid throwing tantrum. it is them wanting control over the relationship yes but it's for the sake of a happy n heatlthy relationship for the long run . !!
