Are you social?

Hey, Aries!? Would you consider yourself a social creature?

My BFF is with an Aries man and although he is friendly and a super nice, talkative guy, I've noticed when we all have get togethers, he disappears and watches TV. Once it was football, once a cop show and New years he was watching a New Years Eve special.

My teenage son prefers to be around home or with family and rarely hangs out with his friends unless it is a Church Youth function.

My dad is a homebody, although in thier younger years, my parents would have one couple over at a time to play dominos and have a few drinks.

After these observations, I'm just curious if you consider yourselves social.

Not really. Just as you describe super friendly and can give off an air of being a social but not really. I can be talkative sometimes too but not really. I HATE small talk. I prefer to keep it light with most folks. And if my friends are having a get together or something you can bet ill be quiet unless there are people there that I know. I guess its because i am shy.

It depends, if a conversation was started with me then I have no problem opening up, but as of lately,

I'm not social as I used to be, maybe because I got tired of wanting to meet different people who were different from my friends, surrounding, and environment, it resulted the same. More likely it has to do with surroundings, if I feel like it is a bad crowd, I rather stay away and watch from a distance, keep it nice and simple, prevent getting involved in any type of situation. Even if its a good social surrounding/environment, sometimes too much of people/person is overwhelming. Space and distance begin evolving.

Being social from time to time, in contact with friends, family, acquaintances is needed. All the time? Possibly not.

I feel forced to open up at times because it seems like the less you talk the more people want to get to know you. I have met some really cool people that way.

But i used to be way more social up until like 2008

Yes this happens a lot, sometimes I do it so I don't expose my vulnerability.

Or sometimes when not saying much, they open up a lot more about themselves, then they start exposing their real shit, talk about deep stuff.

And it is not actual butter. Just a past that has been through hardships.

I'm polite and friendly, jolly good at functions and stuff can introduce people, rock up and meet total strangers etc great for work things where lots of people don't know each other. I LOOK like the totally with it, relaxed dude running the show.

I rigorously vet guest before RSVPing for anything personal/social. I'm too old for any ish.
I would rather be home reading a book.




**ok we all know that is not true. I would rather be home having sex.

I enjoy people and relating; in some ways I wish I were better at relating. In many ways I don't give a damn. It's difficult for me to palate anything or anyone that isn't passionate or interesting or intense, anything that is dull or monotonous or lacks depth. Of course, I try to be polite; it's often not their fault - I'm busy mulling over my big plans or my job or what she said and was wearing or that thing that infuriated me.

I also agree with everything else as well- I'm *excellent* at social functions, like a well-trained monkey. I just don't care for them, at all.




Aries are like M & M's........bright colorful shell but for the really really good bits you have to get inside.


Oh, and some of us are nuts😉

I suppose what yall are saying fits to the impression I've gathered. I think I understand my son better now, at least, as well as not to take it personally when my BFF's boyfriend disappears to the TV. Thanks yall for sharing.
