“We’ve gone on a few dates, but if this turns into anything it will be long distance (he said most of his relationships have been long distance)”
so you’re currently in the same location but he’s leaving for somewhere soon?
i’m not sure if you’re dating for fun with no end goal in mind or dating to eventually get married but
if this long distance stays long distance for more than a year or two max, i would start questioning his intentions.
i personally don’t think that long distance relationships are real relationships.
it’s different if the two of you are already married and he’s in the military getting deployed or one of you has to temporarily go abroad for a few months for something work related or to go visit family (short period like less than six months) etc
but i don’t really see the point of two un-married people continuing a long distance relationship for years and years with no end goal in sight.
i would start wondering things like
1)why don’t one of you move to be with the other person? like, what’s preventing that?
i’m assuming you two probably aren’t even close enough as of yet to start discussing these things but for future reference,
in order for any LDRs to work, there needs to be a clear common goal between the couple.
LDRs with no expiration date sounds unpromising and pointless to me.

My Aries cousin has been in a long distance relationship with his Capricorn girlfriend for 5 years now. They both won’t budge to move closer to the other so I’m not sure where things are going or if they can even go anywhere at this point? He has bought a ring and plans to propose…..however, he has had the ring for a year now and still hasn’t proposed. They still have not made any plans on moving closer to each other so at this point if he does actually go through with proposing I’m guessing it will be a long distance engagement and a long distance marriage. I honestly don’t see any end in sight. I hope I’m wrong because they really do make a great couple, but I don’t see how long distance could work permanently? 🤷♀️

I'm in a long distance with an Aries now. I can say that this is one of the most stable relationships I have ever been. He never been distant. I probably am the one who is prone to distance myself and he is always the one who's chasing. He is still consistent and persistent for almost a year now.
Communication is good, never a day where he doesn't talk to me.
He probably needs some time to do things himself or just for himself. But so far it's always a few hours then he's back.
Mine letting me know where he wants the relationship goes, which would be closing the distance ASAP and being together in a long run in person.
So, I can say that if he's really into you and loves you he will prioritize you and make sure that you feel loved, without you need to ask.
