What I meant was: our reward becomes what we put in, its the prize that you would get in the end I no longer care about. Its more the I conquered it to the best of my ability or I gave it my all. The end prize becomes nothing, I no longer want/need/care. Hope that made sense.

Also, this thread is making me realize what an un-evolved Aries I am. Fuck. I am impatient to the extreme, and I definitely care about winning (currently training to compete in boxing and wrestling). I've noticed that when I give my all, I feel more of a solid, unshakeable INNER confidence. It's the kind of quiet confidence that builds true self-esteem and is one of Saturn's lessons. But I definitely want and enjoy the fanfare and trophies too.

In my opinion, evolved Aries shift from fighting things they can't and shouldn't try to change (i.e. other people, their circumstances, etc.) to fighting their own inner demons and fears.

Thats the hardest lesson for an Aries, fighting what you cant control. Took me a long time to get over that.

Trophies mean nothing to me. I could care less about that. It's about fighting the good fight and winning. Even if I am fighting myself (internal struggles).

So in a way I guess I can stereotype them as: jealous, insecure, selfish and back stabbing.

Speaking from experience, by the way. They're cool to hangout with, except that even if they think you're cool to hangout with too, you can't be TOO cool. No. THEY have to be cooler, so they'll probably bash how you're not supposed to wear Toms with socks in front of your social circle.

But I still don't dislike Scorpios, only specific people who happen to be Scorpios.

scorps aren't too bad once you understand they're intent. I just think they can rub aries the wrong way at first because they're not as straightforward. Overall they're ok, I think the way they approach courtship is something that doesn't sit well with me.

Not every aries has the same placement, and acts the same way, which was the original point of this thread....Your ex friend may have been an unevolved ram, but you have to take into account her other placements. Stubborn is actually a stereotype that is something I disagree with. Cardinal energy vs Fixed energy. We stand our ground,but once we see no point in doing so, we move forward, because that's what cardinals do. Maybe she had a leo moon like champ mentioned.

well the reason I asked about the lie bit was because I would think it takes a great deal of effort to actually construct a lie. Being quick on our feet, makes us reactionary, that does not necessarily mean what we say will be a lie, but there is a chance. The correlation is very subjective to your own experiences imo. No, I'm quite literate thank you very much, I think a lot of the time people like you who insult other people's intelligence are often the ones who use words in the most incorrect context or end up misunderstanding what things mean in a certain time. For eg. You telling me to :"reread the title of the thread"-as if you were insinuating I didn't understand what you were trying to say, but it was actually yourself. Aries are often described as having angular faces, not squarish. That's more of a Taurus trait.

I just looked this up--it sounds dope, especially for a night owl like me. Are the restaurants opened all night, too? Like a cusine -n- culture all-in-one tour, ha ha. I've only had one Aries woman as a friend so this is just from personal experience so, obviously, it doesn't apply to everyone:

Selfish: Although it didn't seem intentionally so. She seemed very obtuse about her ways, like she had no clue about how she was.

Self-centered: Kinda goes along with being selfish. She admitted she only goes on facebook to like her own pics that she's been tagged in/doesn't reply to anyone/doesn't like anyone else's posts. Always center of every picture.

Vain: But more, shallow. She mainly wanted to talk about where she vacationed...

Impulsive: This was in reaction to things. I cancelled a hang out and she unfriended me immediately.

Her way or the highway: Goes along with the point above. Unwilling to compromise. Her way or no way.

Prone to temper tantrums: Very temperamental. Almost like a child

Controlling and narcissistic: Everything revolved around her time, her availability, her schedule.

Loved the chase: Only times she made an effort is when I was walking away. I didn't have much to look forward to though, because as she made clear, her other friends are lucky if they get to see her once a year- if THEY are lucky.

I've read that most Aries are very honest. Not this one. She lied when it was convenient for her and at the drop of a hat. She also added detail to it, which made it odd.
My gut immediately sensed something was amiss about her, but i rationalized my fears and proceeded.

I don't think I've ever met such a selfish, mean woman in my life (I can't even say if the meanness was intentional or not)...but I've also never met a woman that I've had such an immediate emotional connection to. Too bad it didn't work, but it was completely one sided and she got what she wanted: control and a big giant ego boost.

On a side note, I've visited some Aries forums and some make it sound that the selfishness and ability to just walk away from
someone (when they don't get their way) is a positive sign. I'm sure that it is for some, but
in this experience, I'm not losing much (she was never really a friend) but she's losing someone who would have been a very devoted friend. I don't see that as a positive, at least in this case, because what I sensed from this particular woman is that she was very insecure, deep down, and the callousness was posturing and covering up the "real her."

That's just what my gut says though, and I should have listened to it the first time.
