yeah, i guess soo.... he lost his job and he had to leave the city ( 40 min away from me )and go back to his home town ( 3 hrs away) so last we spoke he had no job and he was embaressed about it....
last we talked he still had nice things to say about me...
but now he is just completey MIA

IMO he'll talk to you when he's ready. The embarrassment or self pity he's probably dealing with right now from losing his job and going back to his hometown with his tail tucked between his legs is too much to handle. Let him deal with it on his own terms and time line. Offer support but don't stifle him. Relationship stuff is probably last on his agenda. I'm sure once he figures it out, he'll talk to you, then you can smother him.
