Gary Ridgway

The ' Green River Killer' (Gary Ridgway) was born on February 18, 1949. His first (known) murder was on July 8, 1982. He was finally arrested on November 30, 2001 and sentenced on December 18, 2003. He was suspected of raping and killing more than 70 young girls and women.

I got into recovery in 1986 and meet a girl who used to work the streets to get money for her dope, she was in and out over the early years. last time I saw her was 88.. I think it was in late 1990 that we found out she was killed by him when she was back out using, she was back working the Sea-tac strip.

When I moved to Vegas he was still a free man. The first summer here was when they finally arrested him. I recall being afraid to walk near the river when I worked down in the Tukwila area ( this is within 10 miles of Sea-tac airport.. even though his victims where prostitutes he was a serial KILLER! Not even sure if they advertised on news that his victims where hookers, but maybe they did. I do not recall.
