Posted by june_rWhat would be the other options besides meditation?
The short answer would be yes. There are many different ways to gain greater access to your subconscious and drugs are nothing more but a temporal backdoor people tend to become dependent on. The easiest, quickest and most aggressive.

Posted by SeasonTechnically he died from drowning on his own vomit...As I said I wouldnt recommend anyone to take drugs only to prove a point or to become a musical genius, this is stupid. But Im interested to see if astrologically speaking there are people who can really become creatively enhanced while on drugs, what I would believe to be a result of a connection between Venus and Neptune.
Hallucinogens will make you see things in the most extraordinary ways and most of it is in your mind. Amazing. Good for artistic types. But Hendrix did die from drugs, so there's that to consider. Many musicians of his era did.

You gave me another way to see this with " greater access to your subconscious ". Maybe this is the effect of Venusian 12th house people. The door to the subconscious gifts needs to be opened somehow.click to expand
Posted by NevermoreIm curious about Venus/Neptune people who has experience with drugs, to know how it worked on them.
I disagree..
My ex Sag has Venus & mars in 12th house and he never did drugs. Nor not allowed to smoke.
Only of what he did is that he's very creative with music.
Posted by NappTuneOf course there are a lot of people.
No, there are people with a 12th house venus that don't do drugs . I believe there's more to it.

Tantra, introspection, keeping a dreams journal, Qi Gong, self-hypnosis, communion with nature, visualization, prayer... nowadays you have easy access to all sorts of practices, there's really no excuse to put it some effort and see what works best for you.
As for drugs..

Posted by PootyButtYeah, people cant understand my point lol
^^^ I don't know why people keep pointing out that not all people with the placement take drugs. OP knows that. He's asking about those who have. Maybe it's because there's a negative stereotype associated and people are defensive?
Anyway, specific things I noticed while experimenting with hallucinogens and pot: I started remembering weird perceptions I had as a child. I remember one time while high feeling like there was this little tear in the air, and if I grabbed it and pulled it, the threads would come loose and the entire universe would be revealed. I remember having the same daydream as a little child.
Posted by NappTuneWho said that? because I didnt
Now I wanna see why people who do drugs think it's because of there Neptune and Venus aspects.

Im going to do a quick research on these things you listed. As for dreams, mine are often related to thoughts I have during the day and I can't see anything relevant from them. I've tried to meditate once but it was kind of scary, I saw myself in a fcking illuminated place with a strong light. I've done a research on this experience and people say that its pretty rare for someone get into this kind of place in their first session.

I want to know how people with Venus/Neptune influence in their chart feel when they did drugs. If they experienced something curious...click to expand
Posted by june_rI guess this why I had that intense trip. I was with some shit in my head at the time and I faced my fears but I really felt cleaned after that. I will try to do it in a daily basis.Posted by raad182

Once you write them down (the dreams) they may have more sense especially if you can easily connect dots, draw meaning from symbols... if not, you can always get some help from a dreaming interpretation forum. Keeping a journal can also help you to become a lucid dreamer.
Is rare for a first session but not something that should push you back. I've heard all kind of stories, from people suffering from hallucinations to "demonic" possession. I've went through that too. Bad experiences with meditation happen usually when you carry a deep emotional and/or psychological issue. These practices can trigger something hidden within you. Ayahuasca for example can make you cry, defecate, vomit, sweat... is cleaning you, purging the crap inside you.
Meditation is not supposed to be a walk in the park either but for all reasons if you don't want to do it anymore, then don't. I would say this is also quite the warning to not try on any drug, you may just experience the worse of trips and damage yourself permanently. Take your time and take care.

Posted by raad182I have Venus in the 12th and yes, drugs did expand my mind and helped me, through those visions, to create concepts I would otherwise never have known. (I do know Hendrix drowned in his own vomit) But he was drugged out at the time, so I consider that a drug related death. The psychedelic age was unparalleled in creativity. Would be great to hear from people who have this kind of placement here on DXP, so we could hear from them how they feel about this.click to expand
Posted by SeasonI have Venus in the 12th house and one of my most life changing things happened because of drug usage. Just to give 2 example,
Jimi Hendrix - Saggitarius Venus in the 12th house, on drugs during his musical peak and his work is often related to psychdelics trips.
Rihanna - Venus in the 12th house, heavy pot smoker, I dont know too much about her work either.
I have Taurus Venus in the 12th house trine Neptune, I play acoustic guitar and don't sing well but everytime im drunk, I usually sing and play better, I feel the music and its not only the effect of the lowering my inibitions, When Im drunk I often hear the song more clearer, I feel more and when I sing to my friend while drunk they often say " Wow, I didnt know that you could sing like that ".
12th house and Neptune is said to rule the drugs and subconscious mind.
I DONT WANT TO PROMOTE DRUGS USAGE. Its just a curious thing I´ve been perceiving.
