When dealing with a date, a girlfriend/boyfriend, a spouse or just someone you're currently admiring, ALWAYS take into consideration that person's full chart. Knowing that person's SUN sign only might leave you feeling confused & non understanding, especially if you're very into astrology. Always take into consideration that person's MOON, DESCENDANT & VENUS when dealing with someone you're interested in.
I see alot of people stricly going a person's SUN sign & how what behaviors to expect according to their sun signs only..and then what happens is that they are left feeling confused & surpised at how DIFFERENTLY that person really is vs. how their sign says they are supposed to be. For example, if dealing with an Aquarian (SUN), sure it's very likely that they will exibit some strong Aquarian traits, like being stubborn, unemotional or being cautious in love, etc. BUT, if that person's MOON is in CANCER & their VENUS is in SAGITTARIUS, just knowing those 2 extra factors can be the difference b/w you fully understanding that person vs. not understanding why that person isn't acting like or doing what the book says they are supposed to be doing. If you're dealing with someone with an Aquarian sun, for example & yet you notice that they are actually VERY attached and VERY emotional & clingy in love, don't be confused. After all, their moon might be in CANCER (emotional, sensitive, attached), while their Venus might be in PISCES. So simply knowing those 2 extra factors can lead to more understanding of that person, thus your relationship/friendship with that person will be more fulfilling.
It's ESPECIALLY important to try to find out (as best as you can) those other 2 facts (if not even more) when dealing with FIXED & earth signs, b/c it's to be expected that the other placements in their charts can have bigger effects on their personalities than their sun sign. This explains why you can meet a VERY emotional & attached Aquarian, or an introverted Leo or a stay-at-home Gemini. This even matters when factoring in your OWN chart. As an Aquarian, when I FIRST read about my sign, I agreed with most of it, but when I got to certain departments, like the LOVE department, I disagreed with MOST of what the books & websites said about Aquarians in love. WELL, that's b/c when I saw my full chart, I saw that my venus was in Capricorn, Mars in Aries & Moon in Cancer. After knowing that, it all made MORE sense

I read a post about a woman being confused as to why her GEMINI boyfriend wasn't acting like the "typical gemini." He wasn't the gossiping, chattering, always busy & extroverted person like all the astrology sites said he'd be. When she finally did his chart, she saw that his moon was in Cancer (home-body) & his venus was in Virgo. When she finally read up on what it meant for his moon to be in Cancer, Venus in Virgo, it started sounding more like the ACCURATE description of her boyfriend. If she had've only gone off of his description as a Gemini, she would've probably been more confused & less prepared for how to handle him, understand why he is the way he is, etc.
If your Aries is not impulsive, for example, it's b/c that person's moon, descendant, venus or mars is probably the exact opposite of their sun.
If your Virgo is not critical, for example, it's prob. b/c...
If your Cancer is not emotional or sensitive, for example, it's prob. b/c....
If your Leo is not extroverted & not attention-seeking...
If your Pisces is not a day-dreamer or very sensitive....
If your Aquarian is not detached or unemotional...
If your Sagittarian is an extreme home-body...
If your Libra is very decisive...
If your Scorpio is very trusting of others...
If your Taurus is not possessive or moody...
If your Capricorn is everything BUT serious...
You get the point. Simply knowing just the SUN sign is not enough when trying to understand, figure out & cope with others you are dealing with.

Well whether or not you're actually compatible with other people & how their charts are made up is a whole different story. BUT, astrology is way deeper than just someone's Sun sign. Plus, astrology is not 100% accurate anyways. The other placements in someone's chart matter too. 300 years ago, you're descendant was considered MORE important than your sun sign. 300 years ago, if you were an Aquarius (sun) with a Taurus rising, you were considered a Taurus. Yes a person's sun sign is VERY important, BUT depending on the placements in your chart, some signs in your chart are more accurate in your personality than others. For example, my sun is Aquarius but my moon is in Cancer & my 3rd house is in Cancer. So what that means is that according to how others view me, I tend to act moreso like a Cancer than I do an Aquarian. Plus, when it comes to astrology there are 2 factors 1. How you see yourself & 2. How others see you. And there is a HUGE difference in the two often times. Astrologers will tell you that Moon, descandant & Venus share alot of importance when it comes down to the different levels of personality, which is why the best way to understand yourself or others (if you decide to try to do so through astrology) is to take EVERYthing into consideration. Plus, sun sign just describes certain aspects of your personality; your sun sign isn't often 100% dead on when describing one's personality. And that explains why everyone has different signs in their chart. Venus portrays other departments in your personality. So does Mars. Neptune & so forth.
If we're going to look to astrology for understandings of ourselves or others we have to do so in whole. Sun sign is only HALF of your personality. Sun sign doesn't tap into the unconscious self; Venus does. Therefore, if one knows their descendant, it's way more helpful when trying to understand that part of self. In other words, we have to look at the whole picture in order to understand. For those not really into astrology, they stop at the sun sign. But for those who are, sun sign is only 1/2 the description of who we are

There are different layers to the personality. Yes, while the SUN covers the overall picture, the other placements in your chart fill in the small details. And when it comes down to understanding others, the small details ARE very important. Whether or not you are compatible with or get along with others is a different subject. That can come down to other things like history with them, maturity & other things that astrology doesn't necessarily dictate. You might not have gotten along with your mom (Aquarius sun, Scorpio moon) for millions of other reasons outside of astrology. Plus, astrology never guaranteed that compatibility was 100% guaranteed. It says that based on few factors, certain signs should get along with certain other signs.
My father is a Taurus with a Pisces moon. We sometimes didn't get along but that was b/c of past experiences & other outside factors that had nothing to do with our personalities. So it all varies. Not every Aquarian will get a long with every Aquarian. That's we have to take into consideration other aspects of their chart. And that also explains why 2 Aquarians can act completely different than one another. Compatibility is also based on a variety of different things. Everyone's def. of compatibility is different also.

Yeah, when I meet people, on the surface they think I'm an Aquarian. But when they REALLy get to know me, & once I tell them that my moon is in Cancer, they're all like, "it all makes sense now!" lol

It's crazy! Those who really aren't into astrology can make due with just knowing someone's sun sign. But for those who are really into astrology, knowing the extra & added aspects (moon, venus, mars, ascendant, ect) brings all the little pieces together! Plus, some people can have similar signs throughout their entire chart..like someone with a Cancer sun, pisces moon & taurus venus...in that case, one could almost just know the sun sign & get a pretty good explanation of that person. Now on the other hand, if someone had a Sagittarius sun, Cancer moon, Scorpio venus, & Aries ascendant...whoa that'd be crazy!

So if someone had that kind of chart (above), it's be clearly obvious how knowing ALL of that person's chart & taking it all into consideration could make/break the difference in whether or not you fully understand them! Someone with opposite signs in their charts, like Leo & Aquarius for example will more than likely be confusing to most people UNLESS those people know that person's chart & where each sign places in their chart.

Well when it comes down to people we've known all of our lives, sometimes we don't really need astrology & all that chart stuff to help us understand them. But when we're meeting someone new or trying to understand someone that we haven't necessarily grown to know forever, astrology def. comes in handy. I look at it like this..when I read my chart & all of my placements, it is DEAD on. Yes, when I read about just my Sun (Aquarius) it was still dead on BUT all the other extra added placements just made my belief in astrology that much more real. So if MY chart is that accurate, it only makes sense that someone else's chart would be dead on to how they are too...
it's like astrology gives us the ability to be "psychic," b/c it gives us the advantage of knowing alot about that person up front. I've come across 2 people of the same sign that acted completely the opposite of eachother. For example, I've met 2 Leos..The 1st Leo acted like the typical all-around (by the book) Leo & how they are supposed to be..but the 2nd Leo was completely the opposite but that's b/c Leo 1 had Gemini in their chart (not too far off from Leo) & Leo 2 had Taurus in their chart...BIG difference even though they have the same sun sign..so in that case, it helped me in understanding them both by simply knowing their full chart.

i've been trying to get a better understanding of how the 3 (Moon Decendant and venus) play a factor in me. It's weird because i'm a Gemini with quite a bit of gemini in my chart, but with my cancer moon, i almost feel like my inner being is conflicting. I want to be at home all the time, but i love to be out of the house, yet, it's hard to talk me out. But when im' out... i live like there's no tomorrow. I'm so detached, yest SOOO damn emotional it's annoying. I can't tell you how many times i have asked myself "why in the hell am i FEELING so much" it drives me crazy.
Me
Sun - Gemini
Moon - Cancer
Descendant - Leo
Venus - Gemini
my man
Sun - Taurus
Moon - Gemini
Descendant - Sagittaruis
Venus - Aries
No one on the other link answered a question about degrees that someone posted. Krys do you know anything about degrees?
like my sun is 12 degrees gemini, my mercury is 27 degrees gemini, and my Venus is 26 degrees gemini. What do those degrees mean? higher degree more influence?
