Astrology-themed party

I'm planning a party in which I want all the guests to come dressed according to their Zodiac sign. I've looked around a bit on the Internet, and it still seems to be a rather novel idea. Which surprises and disappointments me a little because I was hoping to already have the parameters set and need only to adjust things a little to suit my friends. But it also has made me more determined to go through with it. So, any advice/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
You mean 12 Corazones, right? As a party activity or for inspiration?
Cool idea! Party girl here....
I need more info. what are you planning so far?
Let's make this the BEST party ever! smile
Sounds like fun !!!!

Print out maps of each constellation as it appears in the sky and find a place to have them hanging on a string so people can see what their stars look like.
Shape balloons for each symbol
Make a paper mache of the Milky Way and have it a mobile hanging from the ceiling on movable wire in the specific party room
Make food, drinks, and utensils to represent each sign ... whomever the party is for make cake in shape of represented sign, for example, if party is for a Sag, form cake in arrow .... fish party cups, paper plates with ram on them, water vases to make mixed drinks in, napkins with scorpios on them, cookies shaped like crabs, etc.
Make little sayings on cards to lay about, outlining the positive aspects of signs to include not just sun, also all the other planets in the position too, and make it take a humorous tone .. so your guests can see Venus in Gem, mars in Cancer, sun in Aqua, etc ... then you could actually turn this into alittle game after several hours .... some sort of guessing game to see if your guests can figure out their friends charts, based off of the little blurbs.
People who aren't into astrology really have no clue about it and just think every is just their sun sign, and nothing more really ... so you could find out everybody's birthday and chart them, print a summary version for them to take home. You could also have some sort of decoration to indicate the four elements, the metals, the stones, etc.

There's so much you could do .. what is the party for? What kind of party? A drinking party, a bar-b-que, a birthday?
If it's a birthday, or baby shower or something where there are party games ... you could incorporate astrology into every game played.
Oh this is a cute idea...but your are so lucky to have open-minded friends.
I'm liking the idea too, very different. Agree with Lady M though if I suggested that to my friends they'd think I'm more nuts than they do already! Tongue
I KNOW! I'm so excited. And I'm really glad that I thought of it this far in advance (all I know so far is that it'll be sometime between 25 July and 3 August). As for drinking, most of my friends don't drink, so it'll probably be a wine-and-cheese or cocktails-type thing at the most. Also, I know that I've invited at least two Leos so far, and haven't decided yet whether or not to address that.
And I'm just having it as a general socialization thing, because I've been aware for quite sometime that I'm not very good at socializing in groups of more than two . . . as a result of which, most of my friends don't really know each other.
What sign are you Juls?
Scorpio on the cusp with Sagittarius. Year of the Rabbit. Sag moon, Aries rising.
I Wish I could b there.... come dressed in a robe with a vase under my arm
You could also have a moon-sign, rising sign, or a chinese zodiac party. I always thought it would be neat to go to a convention of one sign only, two signs opposing or even an (element) themed party. Anyway, could you imagine a roomful of dreamy fish? smile How about a Virgo convention? Now i would definately have to be a fly-on-wall for that one! Anyway, it all sounds like fun. Though how does one dress up as a fish..?? Maybe wizard with wand instead, LOL! =)
I am stealing this idea!...yippeee
