Can you consider planets in the same sign which dont conjunct each other as a conjunction?

As the energies of both are the same...
That's called a platik aspect (aspect by sign) which were used way back in the old days. They don't have the same relevance anymore in modern or even traditional western astrology, Hindu astrology (Vedic) still use aspects by signs though.

We could say there's a relationship by sign but the influence of the planets upon each other is minor as the orb is too wide.
There's something there, for sure.

No
I stick to the theory

that could save me.

I have things in the same sign at 3, 14 and 23.

I definitely think it's a maturity thing, the higher the degree, the more maturity...so the 14 and 23 probably help your other planet grow..kind of thing.

Maybe it's energetic too...l was just watching Joe Rogan, his chart is mostly late degrees, but his mercury is 4 Leo, he's quite wise, but the way he talks is fresh and really upbeat...

No, not at all.

A conjunction in general doesn't have to be in the same planets or houses either. Aspects and orbs.

But they say cusps don't count, it's either one of the other. So signs are important. So why are they turning around and saying "signs aren't important"?
Posted by DwellingOnMove
wut? why did you take Joe Rogan? He has Mars and Moon in Scorpio. as well as Leo placements. his degrees are under 22. Is astrotheme telling lies?
22 degrees is equivalent to age 66... If you count a human life as 90 years. 13 degrees is age 39.

So 4 is 12, his moon and merc are very young, but the rest of him is old and wise.

I'll use orbs

The sign is the most important thing in astrology, followed by house.

For example, I am Pisces, no matter what is aspecting my sun. I could relate to signs and houses and almost not at all to orbs and aspects.

In synastry, it is very obvious. A Pisces moon let's say, will be attracted to a Pisces sun no matter the orb. An Aqua Venus will attract an Aqua Mars, no matter the orb. And so on...

10years l've studied this, at one time l was really into the theory of sign age....l read a few articles about it, and checked a few people, and thought there was probably a truth to it.

Hehe you seem wise, emotionally, and you have an owl for a pro pic...amazing ??
LOL, maybe I should re-assign myself....instead of Double Pisces I shall become The one who's Jupiter is opposing both Sun and Moon. Surely people would relate better to it Big Grin Big Grin

Orb in Romanian means blind, lol. Don't get blinded by orbs and aspects!

Another case is this guy

the thing about movie stars and if you study the most prominent movie stars and iconic figures of all time, elvis, brando, cruise, etc is that their sun almost always make positive aspects to jupiter.

Now of all those movie stars who do you think is the luckiest who didn't even have to struggle for his success? it was all given to him in a series of lucky events.

It was this guy

User Submitted Image

he would have to be the luckiest man in cinematic history. he fell into Star Wars and became the most iconic character of all time by sheer luck. literally used as a line reader for kurt russell etc then george lucas ultimately took a gamble on him.

then he fell into Indiana Jones because Tom Selleck in the stupidest decision of all time turned it down. So sheer luck again.

he became the highest grossing actor and the most iconic face in movie history by sheer luck.

luck is jupiter.

His jupiter only technically conjuncts his mercury. but upon closer look you'll realize his jupiter is in the same house as his sun and moon.

if those conjuncts were real and i believe they are. he is indeed deserving to be the luckiest man in hollywood. he's walked away from 2 airplane crashes. AIR PLANE CRASHES. he's lucky.

Jupiter is the largest planet by a huge margin. it's gravitational influence cannot be the same as say mars.
Nice to see someone with an active brain, working things out. Totally agreed.

Another lucky dude (in one regard) is Kramer on Seinfeld, his Jupiter is the handle in his bucket chart. Jup Capricorn, he played the older guy in Seinf.

if your sun and moon are trine jupiter or conjunct jupiter you would literally be Prince William, Harrison Ford level lucky.

I aspire more to an Alexander Fleming, Frederick Banting or Watson and Crick type of luck....it still could happen....
I have a Sun/Jupiter trine and ASC/jupiter sextile...I consider myself to be luck when it comes to opportunities in life.

ROFLMAO @ STEMCEL workerbees being lucky.

Being lucky is be given greatness. Not having to work for it.

being luck is like being born to become the King of England. Prince William. that is luck.

we are not arguing which one you prefer. Luck is given.

Actually, luck plays quite a big role in science. From getting that grant, the right people in your team, to stumbling upon something weird and have the courage and money to be able to follow it up.

Work smarter, not harder, is our moto.

Also, lucky doesn't equal greatness. There are a lot of lucky arseholes out of there. Greatness in art, literature, science still require a substantial amount of work, not just talent.

admiration equates to exactly nothing in reality. nothing. it's an opinion of a pleb.

working your entire life level by level from the bottom into respect etc

then the son who inherited his father's research lab puts a medal around your neck.

your entire life's work does not amount to what he was born into. And he will always be in a higher place than you.

that is luck.

The example I given was about people who discovered something very important by chance. While working on something else. This is luck, by definition.

Sons who inherit labs (you mean pharma companies?) are usually not scientists, but business people, like many others.

Only for plebs is a prince or an actor above many. I live in the UK and that balding Gem is irrelevant for everyone I know.

I can go even further and say a fulfilled life does not necessarily mean to change the world. my contributions here are not to oppose or support other people's ideas. like the recent posts (about Jupiter, or luck or changing the world) do not answer the OP. we all just follow different discourses. free style rs we are.

well, it is the astrology forum and difficult to neglect the jupiter effect. or POF.

Maybe you bring an example and we see?

so what do we say to Eminem?

Jupiter in Cap in Fall

in square to POF

in square to Pluto

and with no trine, conjunction nor sextile.

ok, maybe we have to come to the point that square can be a good trigger as well as conjunctions. maybe lack of luck but presence of Cap and Scorp or any determined sign can make it too. Then this supports Undine's point.
sorry, this is my last post on Jupiter. but look at Hitler's chart.

His NorthNode was in the 9th house and in Cancer.

Now by Jupiter in Cap in Fall conjuncting his South Node he could never have had the chance to move towards his NN.

J in cap8 in fall

A square from Jupiter still good...Jupiter effect is basically to expand whatever it touches. The square just say that the chart owner will need to manage that tension. About Eminem I would say that things got out of control when it comes to his fame.

Well they say cusps don't exist, signs are one or the other, so, signs are important !!!!

Then they say it's only aspects that matter....signs don't....you see the paradox?
