Ive been browsing these forums for a while now and it has become apparent to me that the majority of people on this forum are really deep thinkers. I guess I keep coming back to DXP land because I have an insaitable appetite for deep meaning conversation. Also probably because I find it hard to talk about these topics in everyday life as most people I know tend to take a light hearted approach to conversation.
Is everyone naturally a deep thinker or is it just a personality trait? Do you get along better with people who you regard as deep thinkers? Do you prefer meaningful conversations as opposed to 'chit chat'? How often to you engage in deep converation and how long does it take for you to 'open up' to someone you know so that you can have deep, meaningful conversations?

Are you serious? Because if not, this is a grade-A irony thread.

I never seen nothin like you before.
I can kick you.
Higher than you can kick me.
I can kick you way up into a tree.
Who wants a taste of my oolong tea?

Everybody in the phone book named Chang.
Wanna see my wang?
Never!
Good, go and hit the gong with a bang.
Wha?!
Everybody wanna see me throw a fireball,
but thats not right.
Not in real life.
You will fall
down and break your leg.
Everybody wanna see me break an egg
Well I dont!
But I like fried rice,
and I got lice.
ching chow woo ching wang woo wi
That aint nice!
For a fortune cookie I always charge you twice.
Delivery is free, but not from me!
I always charge a dollar fifty.
Fifty five.
Wanna see me go "gah!"?
Hit you wit the light.
hyaa!
Whoa! When I hit you with the shit,
do a split,
take a shit,
after you eat my shit.
Kung fu.
Want my buffet?
You fucking gay!
ow, wide load hit you wit the hay
Stay tha fuck away!
Hit you in the balls.
Only americans eat duck sauce!
And my soy sauce is for you.
I can put it in your shoe.
Watch this, I can tiptoe while you take a piss.
In my bathroom, spy on you, while your little boy shits.
Hoooyyaa!
I can kick you if you don't pay the bill.
And if you want a little mint, thats fifty cent!
Bitch!
Everything costs a little bit!
So dont expect nothin for free!
At least from me.
Ching chang chew-ey.
I got you, from taiwan city and hong kong.
I could smoke a bong, and I could do it all night long.
And dont mistake me for a Viet Kong.
I can get you,
and tackle you, spank you.
Never see me when I get you and bag you.
Rope you up,
and put you in a bamboo cage, and make you feel all my rage.
Poke you wit a little stick till you page
Your buddies to come napalm me.
God damn that shit burn!!
Blew away my whole city.
Ho Chi Min, shoot a load on your chin.
God damn!
As i said, going go to buy.
And if you wanna come on in,
you could walk into my world where the yellow shit begin.

Can't be tamed!
I got a chance to control your brain and its called
Egg Foo Young, and Low Mein
So come on in baby and have it just the same.

^^ What was that poem about? I didn't even read the whole thing! LOL!
Some people on DXP are deep thinkers that is what makes the message board quite interesting to say the least...
Me personally I am a deep thinker and I am also quite silly. Sometimes people can become "Too Deep" and not all the time do you feel like being bothered with that nonsense.
We as people usually gravitate towards people with our same likeness qualities. So if you hang around a bunch of silly acting people 9 times out of 10 your ass is silly. But if you hang around mature acting individuals then 9 times out of 10 you're a mature acting individual...It all depends but I can guarantee you. Once you outgrow someone being they are too mature or to silly you will no longer want to be around them.

some of us see, read and interact in a lot of shit and that is what we remember and/or forget about those thoughts and ideas that we wanted to remember. some of us... those profound things are all we remember. so either we like to play in the bullshit cuz it's fun, or we like the less frequent meaningful stuff (and those who do might be the ones slower to answer 'why do i keep coming back?), or perhaps the fact that you can get the best of both worlds here is the attraction. either way it depends on your attitude and perspective.
"And when you allow yourself to simply live, you start to experience more. And this also contribute to your depth."
i agree. thinking is cool and good and i do plenty of it, but in the end our thoughts for the most part only amount to ideas and ideas only ever have worth when you've acted on them and made something of them. then they're no longer ideas, but actions. two seperate things that when working together can become more than the sum of their parts, but when alone mostly equate to nothing.
"it's the thought that counts" ...? in one or two cases, but mostly i think this saying is foolish. what do you guys think?

When one start observing themselfs like in the case of astrology, they tend to think more and understand more. Normal human being only judge others and reacts to situations. So in a way most people who takes the subject of astrology seriously, tend to be deep thinkers.

I tend to do too much deep thinking, and I can really relate to those above who don't think so highly of it. I have been trying to focus on keeping things simple because too much deep thinking is toxic, it spins your head in circles and can be paralyzing when it comes to day to day life.
To me the biggest factor in attraction to other people is weather or not they are deep thinkers and enjoy long, deep conversations. Itend to brush off those who aren't, not because they can't but because they don't, because I don't like simple or rigid concepts or outlook on life. My best relationships are those in which deep conversation regularly lasts for hours. That is going to be the hardest part in my quest to not be "too in my head about things".

It's a song by Jackass' Brandon DiCamillo called "Bran's Chinese Free style ." It's hillarious. He raps in an Asian accent and everything. You can download it on Limewire, Frostwire, pretty much most file sharing programs and torrents. DOWNLOAD IT!
