Mr. Too Cool for Emotions

The classic Taurus personality is all about control. There’s an inner core of strength that Taurus people, especially men, project.

This is not fake or an act. This is real. This inner strength separates them from other horoscope signs that like to play a role.

I am of course talking about the Leo and Aries. Leo and Aries people can look as confident as a Taurus.

However, deep down inside, they are driven by a deep sense of insecurity and a sense of inadequacy.

They view their projections of strength as somehow correcting or offsetting the void that they feel inside.

There’s none of this with the Taurus. The Taurus is both strong inside and strong outside.

The downside to this for some Taurus people is they think that the outside perception is all that defines them.

In other words, if people think that they’re emotionally strong, that’s all they are. In other words, they don’t want to betray that public perception, so they basically develop some sort of distance from emotional outbursts or emotional displays.

This may be okay at first but if that person doesn’t really let you get under his skin and let you in on the fact that he does have emotions, then you’re just wasting your time.

You’re barking up the wrong tree. Why?

It’s going to be very hard for you to develop a mutually sustaining and healthy emotional relationship with such a person.

In some cases, these guys are completely clueless that this is what they’re doing. They simply think that this is what’s expected of them. This is what defines a real man in their minds

Mr. My Career Comes Before Everything

The Taurus is an earth sign. It is very pragmatic. It is driven by practical concerns like money, social status, and advancement.

Truly successful Taurus people are able to balance their careers and financial lives with all other aspects of their lives. It’s all about balance and maturing at all these different levels and different areas.

Unfortunately, if you meet a guy who defines himself around his career, then you’re dealing with the wrong Taurus.

You’re dealing with a very imbalanced Taurus who believes that money is the measure of everything of value in life. You’re dealing with a Taurus who judges people based on what they do and the social status of what they do.

In other words, this is a manifestation of the Taurus personality that is completely materialistic.

Mr. Protector

At first glance, this type of Taurus male seems to be heaven-sent. This guy seems to be emotionally authentic.

This person seems to have all the classic characteristics of a Taurus in that he has a solid career, he takes care of business, and he has done well for himself.

However, if you dig deeper, and you spend more time with this person, he actually turns out to be the worst kind of Taurus. Why?

He smothers you. He becomes a control freak. His idea of protection means he has to control every aspect of your life.

You have to call in and check with him. Moreover, if you think of doing something, you have to first get his approval.

In other words, he wants to become your father or your supervisor all wrapped in one.

This person doesn’t love you as much as he loves the sense of control. This person is very toxic for your emotional development.

Mr. The Man My Daddy Wasn't

This Taurus has serious daddy issues. He is able to achieve a lot of life because he is constantly comparing himself against his father.

Maybe his father was very irresponsible and didn’t take care of his family’s material needs. Maybe his father was content to work a low-level job and never really amounted to much in life.

Whatever that perceived shortcoming is, this Taurus male makes it his life’s work to always beat his father.

Unfortunately, this type of person is going to poison your relationship because he seems to be laboring under such emotional weight that he always has to prove himself.

In many cases, your love and acceptance is not enough. He seems to be jousting with the ghost of a father that he both hates and loves at the same time.

This person has serious issues, and it’s not your job to help him emotionally mature.

Maybe once he gets his act together as far as his head is concerned, you can give him the time of day. Otherwise, he should be emotionally off-limits to you.
