Connie fairchild
Bob Seager
all the old ones Beatles, Bonny Rate, rolling stones, Sting, Rod stuart, I like all music except Rap I like jazz, rock, some country, opira, and big band. I like some of all of it. I will give a close listen to the group you just posted.
I'm an all round listener. I can listen to almost anything but country (No offense to the country music lovers). Maybe one or two country/classical/jazz. I love rap (grew up on rap), Powder Finger, Kid Rock, Cold Play, Limbiskit, Dave Matthews Band-yeah! - Three Doors Down. The list could go on and on as far as modern rock. I also enjoy rock from 70's. Opera.....I love it when Luciano Pavoratti sings (One of the Three Tenors and the Three Tenors). As far as classical - we all listen to classical music more than we realize it. Its always on commercials, cartoons etc. My minor is in Music (I guess you can tell). Lately I've been listening to this one song by Frank Sinatra (I've got you under my skin) my friends and family think I'm crazy but two semesters in a row my Music Professor and his band played it for the class and it sounded great. Especially in a classroom - the sound was contained to the room. It was pretty live. So as you can see, again I'm an all round music lover.
Did'nt mean to get carried away!! Ha!

I like those artists too but I just could never get into rap music. I need melodies and harmonies. Rap music today seems to be quite violent also.

never ever forget the little river band
It all depends on the rap artist as far as violent rap goes. Like Nelly, he's a rapper from the south that sings about having fun and partying. Will Smith started out and still rap. They have women rappers like Eve (she has a new TV show), Queen Latifah, that played in the movies Chicago and Bringing Down the House that sings about every day life. Most rap is about everyday urban life. Or whatever. They have singers and rappers duets - like Beyonce (played in Austin Power Gold Member) and Jay-Z, Patti Labelle and Big Daddy Kane, Mary J. Blige and JaRule. I don't know if you ever hear of these artist but they are just examples. The reason for this explanation is because I think all rap gets a bad rap and thank god for the media. They dwell on one negative mishap and oh my god! So similar to the hardcore rock that suppose to have teens killing themselves.
Have a Good One!

Good point Happy Libra.
James-I LOVE the little River Band! I wrote a screenplay with them showing up to play at a small bar--it's a comedy. No joke. They really have some great songs. And a good singer. I love the older artists too like Sinatra--love that other rat packer---what's his name? Oh yeah, Dean Martin. Gotta have some Deannie once in a while. Jazz too. I think I have heard "Take Five" so many times from Dave Brubeck but it still holds up nicely after all these years.

Hey James likes Bob Seger, I love him!!! Why doesn't he record anymore, his songs are pretty timeless!
I have a satellite radio and I just heard 'Little Feat' wow they are from the 60's I think.
Anywho, that's my 2 cents!

I much prefer Graham's voice. He really does have a great voice. I can't imagine listening to a different singer. It's just like with Journey (don't laugh), their original singer Steve " " left and they have a different gut that sort of sounds like him but you know it's not Steven. It's just not the same. I was never a Journey fan until a few years ago--I guess their music gets better over time.
