Jupiter - the symbol of our faith?

I've come to know Jupiter energy as a symbol of our faith and beliefs....it's not a "personal" planet but does have a huge impact on our chart. Mine is in my first house (direct) in SaggWinking. More often then not I think I'm very blessed. I feel like thanksgiving happens everyday and yes, I do believe in God (although I am not religious). I think Jupiter is further developed by the sign and house it's in (well-duh). So for me, having it in my first house makes sense as I am very invested in trusting my gut and really developing my faith in myself. Where is your Juipter? How has it shaped your beliefs and what do you really believe in?

Jupiter in Virgo. I don't think it has and at present the most logical is the Annunaki.
smile

Virgo can be a pensive energy at times...what house is yours in?

My Jupiter is in Scorpio. I'm not sure how it has affected me?

Hummmm, what house is it in? Would you be able to expand on your personal beliefs alittle??
err mine's in sagittarius, i think. never looked it up before, but i am verrry philosophical about faith in general.
in fact, today, I DEFEATED A BIBLE BASHER!!! yes,you heard correctly! we just kept going in circles. she was trying to link all my questions back to religion and jesus christ, whilst i was just saying, 'i don't even want answers! i'm happy to question, i don't want one absolute truth. i like variables and theories, questions leading to more questions. i think that's what makes us human, actually. our ability to investigate and make sense of our surroundings, by our own conclusions.' yeah, after awhile she gave up. Big Grin
wow, that was alot of waffle. Big Grin but yeah *dashes off to google jupiter in sag*

Nimbue, I could not agree more with your point on wanting questions not answers.
Jupiter in Virgo here again ..and I found this on astro.com,on the Astroclick Portrait:
You will grow and achieve maturity by developing a constructive sense of duty, by knowing that what you do is useful to the world and by living up to your responsibilities. You see reality so clearly that you let it get you down. The danger is that you may seriously underestimate your abilities and the possibilities of what can be done in your life. Don't always accept matters as they are, either about yourself and others or about circumstances in general.
On the other hand, you can be very helpful to others, and you feel best when you have something important to do. You respect work, even if you do not enjoy it, and when you neglect to do something you are supposed to do, you feel guilty. In fact you often tend to feel guilty about indulging yourself. You have to justify your activities by knowing that they are important on a larger scale, apart from yourself.
yeah? well i checked, mine's in aries actually, house 8. ahem. Big Grin

'When Jupiter is in Aries, the image is the door of opportunity being flung open. Another image is someone grabbing at a potential, whether a potential for growth, money, or greater room. There can also be a pushy superiority when this energy is operating from ego -- or a tendency to try to force opportunities to manifest when their time isn't ripe. Jupiter in Aries says, "swing wide the doors of opportunity -- if there isn't an opportunity opening soon enough, kick open the door".
Aries is an aggressive, driving sign -- its main image is the battering ram. If there is no opportunity, Jupiter in Aries will make an opportunity. There can be a wolf-like quality to Jupiter in Aries since the drive of Aries can combine with the greed of Jupiter to create an aggressive greediness which is not aware of the longer range goals -- naked opportunism has also surfaced with Jupiter in Aries. On the more positive side, Jupiter in Aries has resulted in straight-forward openness. Desire and aggression are more open, and more naked. In general, the people born with Jupiter in Aries and the years when Jupiter was in Aries were more "raw".
In general, the Jupiter in Aries periods were times of strife, inventiveness, and open sensuality. They had that "open frontier" quality.
oh dear this is pretty spot on Sad particularly 'kick open the door' & 'a wolf-like quality'. sacre bleu! Tongue

You're either lying about your age, or deliberately wanted to come across as cooler by presenting a Jupiter in Sag (which I do have)
Jupiter in Sag transits in recent years:
1982-1983 (83 is my year of birth, thats why my Jupiter is in Sag)
1995-1996
2006-2007

Unless you're either 28-29, 15-16 or 4-5 years old. You arent a Jupiter in Sag.

Here to help my fellow Leo mooner Tongue
Looks like first house to me. But you can go to astro.com, put your info in there. They have an interactive astroclick portrait - you can click on each sign on the chart and it'll tell you all about the different placements and aspects. Charts can make understanding much easier - just find the symbol for Jupiter, and look to see what house it's in (there's 12 houses around the chart circle).
Jupiter in the First House
With this placement you are able to make a favorable impression on others because of what you really are, that is, someone who enjoys life, who does everything in a big way, who is generous and helps others.
You enjoy being free to have as many kinds of experiences as possible. You want your own world to be large, and you want to see as many different parts of the world as possible.
The main difficulty with this aspect is that you tend to do things to excess. You don't like anything to be small, including your own actions, so it is easy to overindulge in just about anything, which increases the danger of becoming overweight.
You like to take care of people and protect your loved ones, because it makes you feel good about yourself and reinforces your self-image. You want to be known as someone who can be depended upon to help in times of need.
Jupiter in Sagittarius
This placement indicates that very early in life you will develop strong ethical and moral principles, although they may be quite unorthodox. In your own way you can be very self-righteous about what you believe is right, and you may even preach to people about it when your morals are challenged. Otherwise you are very tolerant, knowing that a variety of viewpoints and life style s is necessary and even desirable.
You have a strong desire to be free to experience life in your own way. You need to have a great deal of direct experience in as many different areas of life as possible.
A very idealistic person, you will develop a strong spiritual sense very early in life. You need to look up to something or someone, to know that there is something higher than yourself in the universe.
---
I guess the last sentence kinda sums it up. I do believe in something although I wouldn't say I'm religious in the traditional sense of the word.
^We're both lucky peeps, Jupiter in Sag is the best overall luck possible in astrology..well mine is in the 2nd house too (the money house among other things Tongue) Winking^
