Can you share with me a little bit about meaning of the Midheaven sign?

Mine is in Aries. I've looked a bit on the web about it and found this article: http://www.alwaysastrology.com/aries-midheaven.html<BR>
I was surprised, firstly that is in Aries, but it describes me perfectly, right on spot. Never before have I paid attention on my Midheaven sign and I have to say, when I saw what that article say I re-discovered my self. (in very useful way, if I can put it like that)

This is a snippet from an article on Astro.com.

I linked the article at the bottom, if you're interested in reading the rest. 🙂

.....................................................

MC/IC Axis

No matter which house system we are using, it is worth pointing out that the meaning of the MC/IC axis is not identical to the meaning of the 4th and 10th houses, which describe the qualities and attitudes of our parents and what we learned on our mother's or father's knee.

At the end of the day, the MC/IC meridian is a uniquely personal axis. It is our vertical axis, our central pillar, describing in the deepest sense where we are coming from and where we are going. And although this may very well be an extension of our parents' goals, ambitions and achievements, eventually our task appears to be to extract ourselves from the parental matrix, put down our own roots, and find our own place in the world.

The MC describes our true vocation or 'calling', that 'something' we need to achieve in the world in order to fulfil our unique potential. Unlike the 10th house, it is driven from within, rather than from without.

And the IC describes the roots of our being, which support and sustain and nourish us on an inner level, and which are the source of our potency and power in the world. As the midnight point in the birth chart, it is the point where the Sun dies and is reborn, and in traditional astrology it signifies 'the end of the matter', which also makes way for new beginnings.

Thanks to both!

@Montgomery , seems like a good place/site to be hanging if I want to learn more! cheers 😉

@1jadedIndividual , I have asc in Leo. In combination with MC Aries it is clearer to me now why did people thaught of me like that (what you said) lol. Ofc. only those that don't know me and especially those that look for the reasons not to like me.
People used to tell me openly how "I am so diferent when they've met me, I seemd as tough and cool and actually I am warm and friendly." Now it makes sence to me. Why did pople seemed so, almost defensive when we'd started talking on first. Guess they expected some kind of attac from my side. It is so silly actually. 😄
lol even few guys that later became my close friends, admited to me that they didn't wanted to approach me at first cause I seemed as kind of a woman who would dich them off. I simply laughed at it, cause It is nothing like me.

Interesting ...

Put simply the ascendant is how people perceive you while you are in their presence. The midheaven is how people perceive you while you are not in their presence. So basically if you want to know what people say about you behind your back(or how they perceive you while your'e gone) the midheaven is the place to look...

This is interesting as I can't tell you how many times people have either asked or assumed I was a Sag.
