I think your SUN sign has the msot influence on you....
for example...
I'm a gemini with cancer venus....
I read the cancer description and its NOTHING like me...
when i read the gemini in venus description, it sounded WAY more like me.
also in love... being more ''emotional'' while i'm not really an emotional person, I love the chase..and flirting is fun to me (also more gemini...)
What do you think?

my bestfriend agrees.. she's a gemini with taurus rising, BUT she behaves and act like gemini she's talktative funny, witty not shy or stubborn at all..

while cancer says ''more emotional loving the home life'' and I'm the complete oposite I love freedom, and am rather a ''cold'' person than emotional.

I kind of agree. I'm the opposite of you, cancer sun and gemini venus but the gemini venus doesn't fit me very well. My cancer sun/mercury/mars all sound about right and my sagittarian ascendent seems spot on but that Gemini Venus doesn't fit.

I can see how to flirt and know exactly what I would do to flirt but I never actually do it cause of this sensitive, emo cancer side which is much defensive and prefers serious relationships and commitments over playful flirting.

Yea I feel ya...I can't really seem to find myself in my venus sign at all...
I think there's a reason why people's sun sign in the most populair one, I think thats the ONLY one that indicates your personality best, if I read the things in my sun sign i can really Identify but when I read stuff in other planets, its not really me...
besides...some planets are in total conflict with eachotehr for example...
I am a playful sign....gemini and then I have a venus in cancer...which is the opposite..
or my bestfriend shes a gemini sun and taurus rising...also oposites gemini's talk alot taurians are more ''private'' ... to me, it sometimes makes me wonder wether everything really all makes sence, I do agree with the sun...but everything else is just a big question mark to me...

also houses!! the only one I can trully identify with is my mercury in first house and sun in first house which make me witty and energetic and talkative BUT then again my SUN SIGN is already all of that.....mmm

I've read that too. So do you know how Libra's are suppose to act emotionally? I think it's down pat with the people perceiving me as a Virgo, I'm very quiet when people first meet me. It's not because I'm shy though I just don't think I should force words when I don't have anything to say, what do you say to a stranger anywho?

As for influence I think they all have some sort of influence on you. Because my best friend is a Gem and she's not a slut or a big flirt.

I disagree gemflirt...Have a look at my chart (it's in my profile) and you may understand why 😉 my virgo influence gets overtaken by sagittarius & I even feel my pisces rising more than the virgo sun. Why this is, I dunno... I mean, it's obvious with the sag coz of the sheer number of planets I have in sag. But I don't quite understand why I feel the ascendant so much.

Perhaps alot of it has to do with the layout of your chart & aspects etc. You may find that the sun is YOUR most powerful influence. But in my case I definitely wouldn't say the sun is my most powerful influence. It actually makes me wonder what signs / sign combinations would suit me, coz I am not convinced the traditional "good matches" for virgo would...haha 🙂

Actually I should have added in there, when I was young up to about my early - mid teens, I was very virgo. But somewhere along the way, my other influences just came out and ever since then I haven't felt very virgo at all. I mean, in some ways I am - I'm analytical & intelligent, but I don't identify with alot of the other traits. I am very idealistic, optimistic, musically inclined and quite the daydreamer...And I tend to speak my mind (and feelings) alot more than the other virgo's I know. I am glad to have the virgo influences that I do in my chart though, as I think they bring some practicality to all that sag, and help keep me grounded.

Moon is supposed to be your emotions but I don't feel like my Gemini moon shows how I am emotionally but maybe that's cause I have so much Cancer which is always emotional so it overules it in some ways

dunno - sometimes i hear voices in my head and try to figure out what chart placement's making all that noice...

Yes, I think the SUN sign generally does fit the description for someone's OVERALL personality, give or take a few traits.
The SUN sign represents a person's true self, ego & expression of their individuality. It represents where someone's deepest ambitions, character traits & personal fulfillments are. Love life or how we deal with anger is a big part of human nature, yes but Venus & Mars is about 2 specific areas in our lives, whereas our sun sign is the overall summary of who we are & how we "tick."

Depending on self-awareness & where we are in our lives & what our priorities are, can make some believe that SUN sign is the summary of their lives, with the Venus, moon & mars just being the "middle" & what makes the summary a summary.
