Multiple Personality Disorder and Astrology

What is your opinion on how astrology plays in with someone who has multiple personality disorder (now called Disassociate Identity Disorder)?
Do the alters have the same astrological characteristics as the prime personality?

Alters kick in for certain reasons to take care of the prime. So perhaps, for example, would the mars be more prominent in an alter that's key function is protection and assertion?

Or would astrology not have any impact whatsoever?

Anyone ever ponder on this?

I'll admit, I don't know that much about this disorder and where the inspiration for alters generate. I just recently watched a show about the disorder and had a thought.
So, probably astrology wouldn't play a role.

I think a scientific study on it would be really interesting, though. To observe behaviors and see if any come into play. Of course, physicians will not even consider it. And to do it from a distance would be impossible. You've have to know each alter very well to make any observations.

Wouldn't it be interesting to find out things as such:
A sun sign be super evolved in one personality and completely unevolved in another?
The venus placement become prominent to an extreme?
A rising sign taking the place of the sun in one alter?

In honest, Astrology is more a quality of who you are.

Disorder/psychological/choice is through their own environment from their path. Except for being born of having diseases or disorder that either it came from their family in which nothing they can do about it..

I mean if you look at the twins who are born either 5, 3 or 10 minutes apart.. they are different no matter what.
I have watched the identical & fraternal twins for this one. They both have different experience through one of them are having trauma or diseases, hence their behavioral are quite different no matter the outer look are the same.

The twin aspect has always fascinated me and blows holes in a lot of astrological theory.

In a medical sense or a personality sense?

Personality. The personality of the alters based on the prime's zodiac chart.
Let me think on it and I'll try to come up with a chart for examples of what my thought process is.
Sun Cap
Rising Libra
Venus Scorpio
Mars Aries
Mercury Gemini

Now, say the prime is a very timid, prim and proper cap. Now I realize the other placements would make the prime different, but for arguments sake, lets just say they are shy and timid and very reserved and prim and proper due to influences that have caused the personality disorder to begin with.

One alter based on the cap sun may believe themselves to be a controlling CEO.
One alter based on Mars Aries may be a very aggressive risk taker who rides a motorcycle and goes sky diving and has lots of adventures.
One alter based on scorpio venus may dress sexy and does vengeful things against people they believe have wronged them.
One alter based on the gemini mercury could turn into the life of the party and tells entertaining stories, possibly particpates in open mike and performs comedy routines.
The Libra rising could influence one alter who is very sweet and charming, falls in love easily and even writes blogs on ettiquette or something feminine like that.

With this scenario, could it be possible that astrology helps define the alternate personality?

Or better yet, the chart of serial killer and sweetest guru who are both in the same date, as for example.

Yeah, but that's based on real people. Alternate personalities are not real people. They are personalties based on what the prime needs and can't be so the alternate is formed.
I don't know, I'm just brainstorming here, wondering if it could play an influence.

You couldn't quite do much on the scientific method given the nature of astrology. As of yet, you couldn't generate a causal structure. It would be interesting, but it would be hundreds of years of research to find some actual causal structure and not just some correlation. Right now, the most that has been done is correlational studies, and frankly, that's some of the best you'll find. The rest are just horrifically laughable, and even the individuals that conduct such correlational studies were mocked and questioned to even practised.

It wouldn't be taken well within the community. But non the less, given my own academic background, there is something there, I just don't know what. A lot of hypothesis, some not even related to astrology itself, but, yeah...

True, but it would be fascinating to study it.

And also, mental illness is NOT determined by astrology. I have a lot of people in my family with disabilities, some more extreme than others, and I can tell you astrology has nothing to do with that. It's all genetic mutations and bad luck.

Yes, I know. That was not the point of the post. I never said that astrology was an indicator of mental illness.

The point of the post was if a person has an alternate personality, would there be some influences on the behavior of the alternate.
I wasn't referring to mental illness in general. I was only thinking of multiple personality disorder - like Tara on the United States of Tara, for instance.
