Posted by bricklemarkI would have thought so too, but my sun is in the 12th house. It does conjunct my Asc. and the moon and mercury too, all in the 12th house. See what I mean? It's a kinda weird chart. IMHO.
First thing that comes to mind is "you got sun in 1st house"... That's a shiny placement lol...very leo-like.

Posted by SeasonHave you told me before what its like to have your Sun in the 12th? If not can you share?Posted by bricklemarkI would have thought so too, but my sun is in the 12th house. Posted by Tirano24no, bricklemark is correct. all fire houses, like 5th house sun, 1st, 9th, makes them "fighters".Posted by bricklemarkSun in 1st IS NOT Leo-like. What outdated magazines do you get your Astro nonsense from?

Posted by SeasonConjunct the asc is relatively the same thing as having it in 1st house ?Posted by bricklemarkI would have thought so too, but my sun is in the 12th house. It does conjunct my Asc. and the moon and mercury too, all in the 12th house. See what I mean? It's a kinda weird chart. IMHO.

Posted by QueenofthepheasantfairiesI'm not sure what I can tell you since I don't feel very much like a 12th house sun. But my father was absent a lot when I was growing up because of his work, which probably messed up my reltionaships with men later because there was no foundation upon which to build. He also died fairly young which happens, so I hear, to many people with a 12th house sun.Posted by SeasonHave you told me before what its like to have your Sun in the 12th? Posted by SeasonYeah theres always about a 5 degree margin, 5 to 7 degrees before the next house -> we count it as part of the next house, or maybe a bit of both, at the least...Posted by bricklemarkThanks. My sun and ascendant are both in Taurus. I've been called "stubborn" almost since the day I was born. It made me curious about my sun sign and astrology in general. Growing up in an astrology friendly family where everyone used to read their horoscopes, and we'd buy those Sidney Omar paperbacks that gave a little more info (not always accurate). I thought I was an Aries Asc. according to Sidney, but later learned I was a Taurus Sun and Asc. when my chart was done by a professional.
Having the same sun and asc. makes me feel like a one way street a lot of the time. But, on the positive side, it does give me focus (especially since it's in Taurus also).
It's a moot point, but often I do wish I'd been born with a different ascendant because it might make me a more multidimensional flexible person. Also I'd wish for Jupiter in my 2nd or 10th house which it's not. LoL.
