Seasons & the Signs
Do the three forces (Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable) in the seasons affect your life in one way or another? Do you feel that a certain month like April truly feels ???Cardinal?? to you? What are the seasons in your place? And how do these affect your life?
In my case, I live in tropical Philippines so the weather bureau in our country divides the seasons into only two: WET and DRY. However, I am of the opinion that it??s not merely just that. To classify the seasons based on the amount of rainfall is somehow quite insufficient as it does not completely portray the climate in the country. Thus, I have somehow felt that we also have four seasons, just like those nations located far from Equator. And I am quite surprised that they actually coincide with Astrology! Here it goes??_
HOT Season/ SUMMER Season (Aries, Taurus, Gemini)
Filipinos always consider the months of April and May as part of the summer season. Indeed, these months are the hottest and driest in the entire year.
RAINY Season (Cancer, Leo, Virgo)
The rainiest months of the year are July and August. In the month of September, precipitation levels usually go down, just in time for the next season.
TYPHOON Season (Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius)
Precipitation levels go down and rains are quite few in the months of October and November. However, these are the same months when the most destructive typhoons visit the country. Typhoon Season begins in late September. To recall, Ondoy visited us on September 26, 2009. Milenyo, on September 27, 2006. As the typhoon season progresses, so do the turbulence of the typhoons. Luckily, typhoons seldom come. But when they do, thousands of homes are destroyed.
COOL Season (Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces)
Typhoon season usually ends in December. The temperatures usually go down this part of the year. The coldest month is January but the coolest temperatures were recorded in some days of February. As February progresses, the temperatures go up, indicating warmer climate. Sometimes, the month of March is often considered as part of the summer season. However, there are still some days in March that are just as cold as some February days. Cool Season is still part of the Dry Season, according to the weather bureau.

ARIES
Driest part of the year. Usually at the start of Aries month, the exams are about to be concluded. The school year is finally over and I??m often excited to see the vacation! This is a very exciting part of the year! The only down side is that April??s just quite HOT! But I??m often reminded that I still have two months to relax, chill out and unwind!
Very Cardinal, indeed, and FIERY, as this is the start of vacation period!
TAURUS
End of April and Early May are usually where summer plateaus. Everything is nirvana. ??_ But I??m mostly reminded by the most beautiful girls celebrating their birthdays in this part of the year! ??_
However, the season??s about to change. The first rain there is in a long, long while happens in early May, which we locales call as ???Agua de Mayo.?? Agua de Mayo is often a short and refreshing downpour which recharges everyone after a long drought. The rains in May are often the most refreshing rains of the year. However, that doesn??t mean summer is already over as the overwhelming majority of the days in May are still HOT and DRY.
The late part of Taurus is very reflective of its fixed sign??s status. Usually it is when we get nearer to May 20 that I really feel that summer??s about to end. I would often sing that part of Olivia Newton-John??s teenybopper 70s song, ????_summer days?? drifting away??_?? Yeah, I do feel that way when it??s almost May 20.
GEMINI
Summer season is not yet over. Sure, rains come over in some parts of May but it is still often hot and dry until about late June.
Classes start around the second week of June, but I usually have the giddiness to buy new books and other educational materials as early as late May. Sometimes I am excited, sometimes I am not. Gemini??s usually that part of the year when I gear up for the long academic year that is to follow, but it??s not usually until the second week of June when classes start. But in fact, even if classes have finally started, I still feel the hangover and some of the days are really still hot and warm, reminding me of the summer days that just drifted away??_ I still feel summery! But I am ready to kick as*!
