According to my research, this is not a good thing. In fact, it is a bad thing. The sun and moon are not comfortable with each other.
I have this placement and I never knew it. I thought everyone felt the way I felt. You know wanting to eat a donut but knowing it's bad for you, wanting to smoke but knowing it's bad for you. From what I have read my needs and wants are constantly stuggling for position.
Anyway, I just read a site that says the "square" needs constant attention. What does that mean?

A square is basically a challenging aspect that you need to pay attention to in order to help you overcome it. You honestly shouldn't fret over it. The majority of people usually have at least one..or a handful of challenging positions in their natal charts, because no one's perfect.
I think that with this aspect, it's very important for you to try to not give into the temporary desires of what you "want," and should rather focus on what you actually need. Take advice from someone who has struggled with something very similar, lol! There's nothing wrong with wanting something. You should just figure out what's going to give you the best result and the least amount of consequences.

Do you have Fire or Air anywhere, Elusive?
Thank goodness I found this topic page, I was ready to make a page like this. I got the same thing but with the worst 2 signs to square with each other. Libra sun Leo moon. I always thought this internal struggle was cause of my libra sun but the more I dive into it the more I realize it is this sun square moon aspect. My moon wants this but my sun needs this yet the sun cant make its mind so its constantly flip flopping in my mind. I really wish I didn't have this. I wish I had a square some where else in my chart cause Having mild depression and trying to find means to overcome it, finding out about this aspect didn't help. Found this on a blog when doing some research on the aspect.
"The Sun-Moon square is even more stressing than any other square because of the direct connection between those two elements. If the Sun is our inner self, the conscient , the primary resource of energy the Moon represents the subconscient, our emotions.
A square between this two elements show us the presence of a blockade between our conscience side, our will and our emotions or sub-conscience. The person with this aspect tends to be permanent unhappy and nothing that is doing bring her peace and happiness. He(she) is trapped in a situation that seems without exit point: when he is decided to do something in a conscient manner knowing that this action is the best possible way there is still a inner voice that is saying "No!No! Don't do it". The vice-versa is also aplicable: if the person is feeling something from the emotional point of view, the mental or the conscient of that person is denying it."
" The person with this aspect tends to be permanent unhappy and nothing that is doing bring her peace and happiness. "
After I read this this sentence it made sense.

Thank god i have Sun Trine Moon. In fact Ihave like 9 "Trines"
Venus Trine Saturn
Jupiter Trine Pluto
Mars Trine MC
Moon Trine Jupiter
Sun Trine Moon
Mercury Trine Jupiter
Moon Trine Pluto
Sun Trine Jupiter
Moon Trine Mercury
...like i always say....big deal...its not like im gifted or anything.
But dont fear Sun Square Moon folk.... I have read that "Squares" can be a good thing as long as you figure them out.
Unlike what i have read about Trines and how they make you lazy as fuck. And thats pretty much me, I procrastinate with the best of them.

I have Sun square Moon (Gemini Sun, Virgo Moon) and I am in constant opposition with myself. A walking contradiction. It is both stressful and sad at times.
