Posted by rabidtalkerDo you use Placidus too? Why are you not a believer in the equal house system? What if a sign is missing from a person's chart because of the Placidus system? What if one house encompasses almost 3 signs? I'm trying to learn how this can be possible and accurate.

equal house system, i'm not a believer but there ya go
Posted by SeasonI use placidus only, but like others have said if you are born really far north or south close to the poles, it is supposed to not be as good. The way to make your decision is to use both chart systems and see which ones fit you. It is difficult when learning but if you can get an experienced astrologer to go over your chart(s) with you then you can really learn from it. The way to do it is to sit down and draw out what the transits would be in each house system, then try to relate those themes to your life (past and present). Whichever one fits is whichever one works. I am no astrologer, just a hobbyist so I cant help you with that. But it is something to try in the meantime. One of the problems I had early on was, there was a discrepancy if my chart was really a leo rising as it is now, or a cancer rising with sun exact on the ascendant the two are similar, but the way I was able to tell was seeing what happened when transits coincide with which of those two points.Posted by rabidtalkerDo you use Placidus too?
