Hi deviel, here's some info on your "8th house stellium" .. hope this gives some additional insight for you..s*

8TH HOUSE ARIES STELLIUM: (Fire-Cardinal-Masculine)
Sun-Aries Mercury -Aries R Venus-Aries R

Here you have a 3 planet "inner stellium" in the fiery sign of Aries. A stellium in a chart indicates a "fixation" on matters of the House involved. Thus a stellium in the 8th house would indicate a fixation or a very deep interest in financial matters or those of a spiritual, (particularly occult ) nature. A person with a lot of planets placed here may have a well developed psychic or intuitive abilities or a knack for handling a partner's finances. These people are very sensual and invest a lot of energy in the sexual arena of life, considering the sex drive to be very strong. Emotions run deep and these people may rarely forgive those who have hurt them. They may even be revenge prone or hold grudges. There can be an all-or-nothing attitude! In relationships this leads to a rather aloft (highly selective, measured) attitude or way of thinking, until they are willing to commit. The mind may be particularly interested in those things of a hidden nature. Social etiquette is very important and dislike of course behavior.

This HIGHLY INTENSE 8th house "focal point" of energy would manifest itself "mainly" as related through (Mercury) intellect, communication (Venus) friendship, sex, love, desires (love of..) (Sun) your drive, will, ego, core-personality & as further related to the (8th House -transformation, resurrection, rebirth -endings and beginnings, getting rid of "excess" parts of ourselves that we see we no longer need, and with the "passing away" of that limiting aspect of our personality we experience a releasing kind of freedom. Also sex, wills, legacies, inheritances, occult matters).

Sun in 8th - preservation, transformation after crisis. You have a particular talent for "restoring" life to something that has been left for dead. May show high potential for marrying someone who is well off, and sometimes "good fortune" in relation to estates.

Mercury in 8th - Gives a highly probing mind. You're intensely curious and analytical of all people, things, and subjects that come within your range. Basically, you want to know "what" motivates people and "makes" things tick. Your opinions have a transformatory impact on the minds of others. You're probably interested in psychology and even occult and mystical subjects.

continued ..

Venus in 8th - sex drive (desire) is high. The lucky benefic of Venus signifies gain through inheritance and legacies, and general benefit through partners. This placement provides you with an ability to "transform" your relationships, but if Venus is afflicted here (hard aspects), it can indicate laziness and a lack of discipline. You value much passion in relationships, and don't care much for the shallow or superficial. Your tendency & preference for getting to the "heart of the matter" could also make you quite shrewd and discriminating in business affairs or partnerships.

btw, deviel ..if you haven't yet checked your mercury-venus Rx's, you can go here for more info .. @ http://www.dxpnet.com/opinion/messages.asp?id=1326911

Ok so three planets in the same sign are a stellium....what then do you make of FIVE PLANETS in the same sign—

I have LEO in

1. Sun (4.44)
2. Moon (12.28)
3. Mercury (17.36)
4. Venus (15.38)
5. Saturn (6.19)

Rising sign is Aquarius (13.22).
Mars is in Virgo (12.39).

I've rarely seen people with this type of concentration on one sign and sometimes wonder if this explains for a lot.
Mystic fish I'd be happy to hear your explanation.

Hi MF 🙂 I've studied my chart, and I think I may have a stellium in sagittarius - I'm not sure though...If you don't mind checking it out, that would be greatly appreciated!

Moon, Mars, Uranus & Neptune all in sagittarius. Moon & Neptune are in house 10, with Mars & Uranus at the end of house 9 (so are interpreted in house 10). The major aspects table lists: Moon conjunct Neptune 5.35, Mars conjunct Uranus 0.16.

Would you need any other info in order to ascertain whether this is in fact a stellium?

Ok i'll just copy and paste what I can find...Hopefully I get it all! Mars & Uranus are also conjuncting the midheaven incase that is of any relevance. It doesn't give me any degrees of that though.

Mars Sagittarius 9?22'46 end of house 9 direct
Uranus Sagittarius 9?38'44 end of house 9 direct
Neptune Sagittarius 28?39'57 in house 10 retrograde

House positions (Placidus)
8th House Libra 8?50'03
9th House Scorpio 8?52'33

...mercury, venus, saturn in Scorpio would be considered a stellium, though planetary degrees would have to be considered first, just to be sure.

.......mercury in scorp 14 degrees
.......venus in scorp 28 degrees
.......saturn in scorp 13 degrees

hey, no problem, irishlibra =) ...mercury-saturn are very* tightly aspected, but technically venus is too far out of range by degree to be considered true or intense enough for a stellium, even by stringing merc to saturn. As well, all properly aspected planets have to be clustered inside the (same) house. Likely venus is out of house, depending on house cusp degree, of course. At the very least, here the merc-saturn conjunct is still (very intense) and three (same sign) planets still quite significant to one's chart overall.

hey, starsapphire, it looks like you are highly influenced by being born both on the Libra-Scorpion Cusp & also by your additional Scorpion placements. You certainly do have the added influence of Pluto, along with Venus. (btw, i also knew a Scorpio born on the Libra cusp, who had "NO" other libra planets, but clearly i could see and sense his Libraness mixed in with his core Scorpion sun). Though technically the sun can only arc into one sign by degree, i believe there is that subtle fading in and out; even moreso by those born right at "zero" degrees. I agree too, it would be very hard to believe in a sudden start and stop. So, it's no wonder you "feel" that Scorpion energy as strongly as you do!

You were born on the Libra-Scorpio Cusp; October 19-24 (The Cusp of Criticism)

The October 22 cusp day being between 27?? Libra-0?? Scorpio. Born on *The Day of Allure* ..

So, for the 3 planetary positions of mercury, mars and pluto:

Mercury is conjunct Mars (orb +7??02'), however, Mars is not conjunct Pluto and too far out of orb. So even a "string" or "chain" of conjunctions between same sign planets would not work. Even if connected and Mars were still out of house from the other 2 planets, this would've weakened this potential stellium. However, i do find, Pluto conjunct the Ascendant orb +6??21' (moderate) pretty significant in relation to the "scorpion" energy and focus. With that said, 3 planets in Scorpio (even out of "allowable aspect" or house) will "still" bring a strong influence to your character, along with your cusp. Strong Scorpio influences create some of the most focused people you will ever meet, who have incredible drive, intensity and magnetism!

(Ascendant, angles and asteroids, though in the same sign, are technically not included, only planets are included in a Stellium. Though, of course, your scorpion ASC is *highly* significant overall to the character, structure and completion of your chart.)

Other aspects to the Ascendant: Mercury conjunct Ascendant orb +2??09' (strong), Mercury conjunct Pluto (orb +8??30', weakened) Mars conjunction Ascendant orb +9??11' (weakened).

hope that helps some, ss. =)

I'm pretty sure I have two stelliums, a Pisces and a Libra (hence, my username). I did check and all the Libra planets are in the same house despite Pluto being some distance from the other two... is that still a true stellium?

Sun Pisces 24.57
Moon Cancer 26.41
Mercury Aquarius 27.21
Venus Pisces 19.12
Mars Pisces 28.51
Jupiter Libra 6.51
Saturn Libra 7.20
Uranus Sagittarius 0.04
Neptune Sagittarius 24.50
Pluto Libra 23.44

technically...no. depending on the source, you have to take degrees into consideration otherwise it's not officially a "stellium." others, just having 3 or more in the same house is enough.

if you go the deg route, i've read that it has to be as many as 5 deg but goes up to 12 deg. i don't think i've read where it could be more than 15. it also deals with planets only. just look at a graphic of your chart. in a stellium, they're clustered together. then you pay attention to deg.

"This configuration is based on the conjunction, but instead of two planets within 12 degrees of each other you have three or more planets. At times the distance between the first and last planet is less than 12 degrees. This would be a compact Stellium. At other times the planets would be joined by consecutive conjunctions where planet a would be less than 12 degrees from planet b, and planet b would be less than 12 degrees from planet c, and so on. In this second case the distance between the first and last planet would be more than 12 degrees, but still all the planets would be considered as forming a Stellium.

The strongest Stelliums, however, are form when all the planets involve are close together, in just one sign and in just one house. This was the case, for example, in February 5, 1962 at 2:00 pm in Bethlehem, Israel, when there were 8 planets in the Sign Aquarius, in the Eight House. This, by the way, was perceived by Jeanne Dixon as the birthchart of a "New Leader" that would revolutionize Christianity. To many this "New Leader" is none other than the Antichrist himself.

This strong Stellium in Aquarius would also explain the strong Aquarian mood of the Sixties. Thus, it was not that "the Era or Aquarius'" as the song said, was starting but that the influence of Aquarius had been momentarily augmented by a Strong, once in a lifetime Stellium."

and i also read a lot that it has to be four planets for it to be significant...

"A Stellium is a configuration that occurs (when three or more planets) are in the same sign or are in the same house. To be truly significant, a stellium should have four or more planets involved. This places much focus upon the affairs ruled by this house and/or the tendencies shown by the sign involved. Strong will power, self-awareness, and a direct stimulation to action will be shown in these affairs."

"Stellium: at least four planets in the same sign, or within a 10?? orb if in different signs. The occupied house and/or sign contains a tremendous intensity and complexity of energies represented by the planets involved."

so technically, i have one, but it's not significant. i have 3 in aries in...i can't remember which house 😛
