Venus conj. Pluto

What are your experiences? Is it comparable to Venus square Pluto? I have read a lot about it and have my own ideas and theories, and now I would like yours, if possible.
Natal.

there is more challenges with the square

That's my intepretation too. The conjunction works more seemlessly, as I understand it. Do you have Venus conj. Pluto?

I have Venus conjunct Pluto natal. Yesterday it was in my transit report.. anyway. Alone, I don't think it really affects me too much... I'm not overly obsessed on things in general but I am passionate in the things I do.

Every man I date their Pluto conjunt my Venus.. and this is where I really feel "nuts" sometimes.. but I see you're focusing on the natal yet I don't notice it too much... tbh unless it involves a romantic relationship then it's hardly evident to me imo that's like where my Venus gets kicked into overdrive and I feel out of at times dealing with this aspect in natal and then again in synastry.

Natal Venus con Pluto smile

Thank you! smile

How much, if any, of that the contents of that link do you relate to?
Posted by Libralula
All of it.
Staying on the negative side of this aspect will drive you insane.
Its not always easy... but I try to maintain staying on the positive side.. there is no perfect partner and life isn't a perfect romance story.
I've really learned to stop sabotaging my relationships and being more accepting and open to love.
And if someone is not good I must move on.. I used to stick and try to force it to happen. Or waste my energy on the wrong person.. yeah no more.

What are your experiences/ opinions?
@HappyCapper

I don't have it myself, but the guy(an ex) I'm trying to get(again) sometime in the future has it and I think that description is fairly good - he is very demanding, expecting me to be perfect(I'm sure I don't have to tell you that I'm not). He has loosened up over the years, but he still has expectations that noone can live up to, in ways, and yes, I believe he has sabotaged one of our relationships. He knows it, though, and is working on it, so I'm hoping. smile

i have the inconjunct its its like two placements that have nothing in common, desiring passion and intensity like the conj but need to make adjustments for it.

Ooo! That must be difficult!

When it's a conjunction it all depends on the sign and then take it from there.

Yes, his venus is in virgo...which is not helping the demanding part of it. Winking

Venus in Virgo conjunct Pluto in Leeb... :/

Propriety meets perfectionism?

It's not a tight conjunction, but almost everyone

I've ever dated will also conjunct Venus and

often the Pluto, as well.

Yup. Thanks. smile

I don't mind the passion...at all, but already having high expectations on myself, it's difficult to not join him and fall into it myself, expecting even more. Damn!

I have it natally. Conjunction in Scorpio by about one degree. And I have it in synastry with most all of my partners, varying degrees.

It's not my favorite lol. Makes me wonder why so many people envy or want to relate to Pluto/Scorpio energy. I often times think it would be nice to find happiness in light contentment with love but that isn't a very sustainable option for me. As a result I take unique avenues in my relationships in order to manage it.

Please, do tell...smile

Haha idk. I'm not sure what to tell.

I've said it a couple times before. But the lyric quote from a Florence and the machine song spells it out best for me 'And I never wanted anything from you. Except everything you had and what was left after that too.'

I logically know that consuming mentality isn't healthy and isn't a portrait of happy and light love. But it's still an instinctive craving. I don't ever want to own someone, yet I want every part of them so it's a contradiction in that way. It's not something that's realistic though, in a day to day stable long term relationship. So I tend to compartmentalize my feelings and put the onus on my partner to tell me what they want. That way I don't become obsessively possessive over them and their life.

The libra or Virgo conjunction operate at a different level though. The Scorpio conjunction is both more intense in nature and in youth I think. At least I hope so lol.

Yes, I do believe a conj in scorpio with Pluto included would definitely be stronger! I feel he definitely wants to own me, whether we're together or not, but that could ofc be due to other scorpio(or other) placements, but I don't feel it's in a creepy way(written by sag venus), but in a comforting way. What I'm worried about is the fact that he thinks that I'm supposed to be pretty much perfect and everytime I make some form of a mistake it's kind of a big deal to him. And I'm not talking about big mistakes either, it could be anything and even things which are mistakes in his eyes and not necessarily in other people's eyes. Is that "my partner must be perfect" quality something you recognize in yourself?

Basically everything Elly said. Although some days, I'm not sure if it's the Venus/Pluto conjunction.. Or the VinS combined with an Air mars. Love, sex, and relationships rarely make any sense to me.

May I ask in which way?

When you have the Venus conjunct Pluto in synastry (which is more often than not with women my age), it increases the confusion 100x for me. I believe that's why I've tended to look towards older women as having relationship potential.

Why do you think that? Also, do you think you have too high expectations on your partners, and if you do, do you think it is due to this conjunction?

Thank you for your response! smile

Why do you think that?

Because with older women, I typically do not have the Venus conj Pluto in synastry.

So you think that aspect is so bad that you conciously avoid women that you would have that aspect with. Wow. Sorry to hear that!

God no I don't want a perfect partner.

If anything I constantly seek to root out the opposite in partners. I want to find their most fucked up characteristics. I want to find their most imperfect humanity. I tend to struggle with not constantly aiming to pull that out of people.

I actually get mad when people I love try to manage their darker characteristics away from me and cut me out. It's a sticky problem with me.

Oh. I'm actually the same. What do you do when you find their fucked up characteristics? Do you try to help fixing them or do you just want to know they exist?
