is this a deal-breaker for a normal relationship? will this in the chart make one always choose a non-committed love affair or romance? do they marry? as long as the freedom element is there and no possessiveness can a somewhat traditional marriage work?

I dated a Pisces with Venus in Aqua for about 1.5 years. He desperately wanted to be committed to me, but he was so naggy I couldn't take it any more, I felt stifled. We still talk every month or so and he tells me that he isn't interested in a proper relationship with anyone as he doesn't have the energy.
So really, that doesn't answer your questions much!! Perhaps it's dependant on his other placements, like moon etc
so seavixen...what do you consider a perfect committed romance?

i am close with a cap whose venus is in aqua. he seems to like to have his cake and eat it too. see, he's very traditional and rather conservative in a lotta ways. i don't think he could fathom partaking in a non-vanilla relationship. however, he's the biggest flirt in town! he has crossed the line, in my opinion anyway, with me on several occasions while in one. so he does want commitment... but it seems to really only apply to her. he can be quite jealous and possessive. so maybe venus in aqua can be a doomed placement for one who wishes to go the traditional route.
(tangent) he is also very goal oriented. he keeps saying that,"the 20's are for figuring things out... i'll settle down in my 30's." well, he's 27 so i think he justifies his actions with that reasoning. we recently had a discussion where i was describing my relationship with my taurus. my taurus and i have a rather alternative love life. we did all the things that dating experts would advise against and it worked/works for us. as i proceeded to tell him about the importance of self-awareness and the ability to overcome major stumbling blocks (i.e. jealousy, etc.) his eyes began to light up. i told him how my relationship is technically open and how all these little adjustments that we've made to suit us best has turned into one of the greatest, most satisfying, most fulfilling, and most grown up relationships we've ever experienced. it seemed to to turn him on! his eyes got sparkly, he was all smiles, he started to squirm... if i didn't know any better i'd say that he was mulling the idea over! i really got the impression that he's been itching to try something like what i have out but he's also into whatever is easiest. attaining what i have would take a great deal of effort on his behalf being as he is jealous. i keep telling him that he can make up his own rules. he can stay the way he is and just assert himself. ask, or demand, what he wants. if he has a controlling side he can work that into the relationship as long as she knows up front what's going on. hell, they could write up a contract. there's really so much...

I'm capri with venus in aquarius. And I'lll tell you, all I want is a devoted, passionate guy who knows when to give me space. I get really uncomfortable with ANY sign of possessiveness whatsoever!! I run like the wind. I mean I feel like a bird trapped in a cage.
I had this on and off relationship with a cancer guy, and I really liked him, but I still wanted to see what was out there. He was all and out comitted, and I felt so trapped. I was 17, just began dating, and he was talking about growing old together. I mean you can't get anything worse than that! I told him if he truly loved me, he should let me go, and if i come back to him, he'll know that it's really meant to b. He didn't understand this at all. That is my quote. If someone really loves me, they'll have no problem givin me a little space here and there, they'll trust me enough to knw that I'll be back. A bond that is so strong even distance can't break it. Thats what I want. You can't shower a person with all this attention hoping they won't get away. That's annoying.
venus in aqua want a balance between the lovey dovey mushy stuff, and the bestfriend hanging out thing.
