The most highly intelligent people are usually not to be found in college, they are often creative entrepeneurs whose idea's literally became too big and broad to fit the restrictive creative environment that universities represent.


These are people who easily think out-of-the-box

3rd House - Communication and early education kind of intelligence. I would say good intelligence for daily needs. I have Jupiter there.


9th house - Higher mind. Seeing things with a broader perspective and not the details. Going to the core of the subjects, a master over a multitasker. I have saturn there.


11th house - Genius, bizarre. If good aspected could indicate an anormal kind of intelligence, if bad aspected could indicate mental problems or blockages.


I have Mercury in Aries in the 11th house, my ascendant is Gemini. My brain works in a insanely fast way and its not so good because you come across as rude or impatient. I have Pallas in virgo too, so I can spot tiny details easily and fast but I lose interest fast too.


Mercury sextile Mars, so I do really well at sports or something that involves a body and brain connection.

ADHD i was wrongly diagnosed with and the drugs caused seizures.

This is why retrograde is considered an accidental debility in traditional astrology. I have a Mercury in Gemini and I don't consider myself a fast thinker or very communicative, and there is a partile square to my Mars.

Stationary planets are powerful indeed, the energy is way more focused. IQ tends to drop with age in most cases.

If you want to know - how people think (how they process the information and how they act upon it) - you start with Mercury. The house where it falls - shows their intellectual interests (a natural tendency) - and what advantages them on a mental level. And, as far as i know... knowledge is defined by the 9th house. It's Mercury in 9th house that shows a hunger for knowledge (a student for life - someone who yearns to expand their mind with a broader understanding of... everything). While Mercury in 11th house - gives one the ability to think like other people (it's a good placement for acting - for embodying different personalities). It makes one more open minded - more accepting of new ideas (like technology and its advancements - or other ünusual stuff...), it shows an interest for society at large - a mind that dabbles with social studies... with the human condition and so on... Kim Kardashian - for example, has both the Sun and Mercury in 11'th house - but her Venus is in Virgo - in 9th house. She loves money - she loves the material world (Venus in Virgo) and that's something she was whiling to expand (9th house), and she did it - with through her Mercury in 11th house (as defined by above advantages). Her Mercury in Scorpio - so yes - she was sneaky about it... if it was in Aries - she would have done that through a YouTube channel. 3rd House on other hand - the opposite of 9th house - shows the way we develop our intelligence (how you learn to speak, to communicate - to bond with others alike - starting with your siblings or neighbors - with school mates / how to get by - in your neighborhood / how to be street-smart). Intelligence (3rd house) and Wisdom (9th house) - might go hand in hand - but they're not the same thing. One can be intelligent, and yet... not that wise. Especially if his/her intelligence revolves around its neighborhood.


As for Saturn... yes, it has a serious nature - the kind that takes the fun out of everything it touches... Also a source of insecurity. Now, i don't know about you... but i sure wouldn't want to have Saturn in 3rd, 9th and especially 11th house (how to - social anxiety).


And no, Jupiter does not make a person "lazy when it comes to study" - it can be effortless - because they have yearning for knowledge - but they do the work (they walk the extra miles).


Mercury and Neptune on the other hand...

Mercury in Pisces can have this trouble as well (the mind of an escapist).


Same can be said about Mercury and Venus - especially if they're in 5'th house (they love to learn - but stuff that's fun / if the learning process is tedious - they turn the page to procrastination).

Yes, even though I have a Bachelor and Masters degree in Archaeology & Prehistory, I run a language school business in several cities in The Netherlands. It started as a hobby; teaching languages is something I've always loved to do, probably as much as learning them. Years later I just decided to start my own business (I made a promise to myself; I would never ever work for anyone, again, ever, unless it is volunteering/charity work) I'm also completely fascinated by the whole process of learning a new language and what makes some better at it than others, as well as what is it that makes people remember certain things better than others. It's an ongoing process and I keep discovering and testing new things and methods, on my business. It's quite challenging and rewarding, it keeps me interested.
