The only thing I've read from him is Fear & Loathing.

Please make some recommendations or those of similar kinds of authors?

Hells Angels is a good Hunter S Thompson book
I've got a week long vacation coming up, so this would be good a book to break into. Need to see if the stores here have it.

Not 100% my type, but similar would be naked lunch by Burroughs, or similar sort of beat gen. genre era maybe Kerouac? Bret Easton Ellis is a little darker but similar vein I think? Ooorrrrrrrrrrrrrr go for what I personally think is cooler Vonnegut 😁🙌
I've done Naked Lunch by Burroughs, but only because I was curious after reading Basketball Diaries (which I lent to an ex and never got back).

And you just reminded me I haven't finished Slaughterhouse Five - I will probably take that on my vacation.

Aah amazing that’s brill! 👏 also I was annoyed I couldn’t think of any female authors but that’s kind of the deal with this sort of vibe, will just mention Joan Didion ‘ Slouching Towards Bethlehem’ for balance lol, sort of similar new journalism vibe to Tom Wolfe and all that if it helps 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I've noticed there not many female writers with a comparable style to Thompson and Burroughs.

On at extreme level I don't know of any female writers who can be compared with Charles Bukowski.

Or maybe I just don't know of any.
Chuck Palahnuik. He's. Badass. He wrote fight club.
