As someone that has a Venus in Gemini my guess he is either:
-making his mind up about you
-or feeling guilty cause he doesnt feel anything for you.

The no kissing during sex doesnt sound good IMO ; so my guess would be option 2.

Straight out confront him about your status.

cancer not kissing—?they are so passionate, it is very hard to believe that he behaved that way!!!!i used to see a cancer that only wanted sex and he was very blunt about it, he never told me more till i asked him what he wanted, a few years later after getting hurt a few times, i realised that i wasted 3 years of my life and had to move on!!!!call him on it....for your sake, and trust me, it is not about what he wants, in a cancers' world it is all about what you want and they love to please you!!!!

dear CYAN, don't be fulled, sometimes cancers can be quite cunning and say things that they know you want to hear(they have this ability that they sense you even when you're not saying anything)....yes, that cancer had the venus in gemini and he only wanted sex, he said that he doesn't love me but he cares about me, or that he liked me!!!!the reason why he stayed with me for that long is because he had nothing to loose!!!i was even telling him that i met so and so guy and that they may be the one.....he was never bothered, he still wanted to carry on seeing me and in bed was giving his 100% !!!you will never brake that shell unless he decides to and he will only decide to do so if he trusts you and if he loves you, till then he will drive you insaine!!!!
the cancer guy that i am seeing now is completely the opossite, very possesive and a bit jealous, we live together he didn't even think of playing games, now we're looking to buy a house and have a family, it's just amazing!!!!

Cancers are possesive (even if they have venus in gemini) so at this point my guess would be that he doesnt care since he just views your RL as purely physical.

As long as you are giving him what he wants; the rest is unimportant to him.

If you are looking for something more; I would advide you to dump him cause its not goign to happen.

also as someone that has a venus in gemini ; I struggle with the notion of love.

I would be more comfortable with caring for my partner and dont really get what is meant by love; so I get where he is coming from and believe he was honest.

dear CYAN, i think you should read carefully what cute crab just wrote above, that was exactly the situation with my ex, and it is the same with you, things will not change unfortunatelly.....move on, you seem a very nice person you deserve better!!!
and yes, it is a bliss that i am living with my cancer, he is "the one and only", i am sure you can find someone to make you feel just as special, every day!!!!
