cancer boyfriend has ignored my birthday??

So meet this cancer almost three years ago did long distance relationship for a year as he works on ships. He broke up with me 6months ago because it got to much now we are back together and I'm going to move in to his house. as i love him and can give it another go.

He has currently just left on ship again and we are commentating through email. It was my birthday today.He knows how important birthdays are to me especially while I'm away from my family. When we first got together my birthday was coming up so he made a big effort to buy a gift leave it with a friend so i had it to open on my birthday. And now he emailed me yesterday mentioning my birthday but today no email to wish me happy birthday!! little bit hurt its not hard to right and email wishing happy birthday I just feel he's not trying as much now is this normal for caners? or am i being stupid?

Is what normal for cancers? Getting involved with people who whine about birthday emails while they're working on a damn ship? Its not like he didn't acknowledge it at all.
