Cancer guy with moon in Sagit going AWOL

Hi guy,
I'm new here, hoping to get insights from fellow cancerian men.
I am Capricorn, moon in Taurus. I really hit it off with this Cancer guy and we ended up sleeping together twice. He has always been pretty frugal with his texting, but he would ask about my day and texted me food photos. Besides the very first meeting that he asked me out, I have been the one initiating the subsequent meet-ups but it felt like he has been orchestrating/anticipating it. One time he even "happened" to dine at the restaurant next to my house, quite far from his. I was expecting him to call me out to hang but he didn't.
After we had a work fall-out (he's a colleague from another department), he went AWOL on me, giving one word reply to my texts and declined to meet up. We never really have the "what are we" talk and since we are not looking for relationships, I feel like he is pulling out? So I confronted him through texting and said if he's not willing, I will pull out and he convinced me that he still want to keep my company. But then proceeded to stay AWOL.
Also, I know he's flirting with a few girls, nothing serious (his words), and he mentioned something about cutting it all off and i can't help but feeling like i'm one of them.
Some background info: he's divorced with no kids.
