Cancer love styles...true—

In Cancer we find one of the most gentle, romantic and softest of all the signs. They are so easy to love and fall in love so easily. Ruled by the Moon and therefore by their emotions, their hearts are usually well entangled before their heads can give advice or directions. Falling in love is very easy for a Cancerean.

Yet for all that, they are very defensive, for their nature of falling in love so easily, will have led to many disappointments and failures in the past. You would think that this would leave them bitter, but it doesn't, it simply makes them defensive and a little more wary. They'll still rush in, but they'll kept part of them protected, until it's safe to come out.

While you think you know all there is to know about this gentle soul, they'll only really reveal themselves when they feel totally safe. It's then that you'll discover that this is no meek and mild creature, for though still gentle and loving, this is one fiercely independent, determined and tenacious soul.

Cancereans have to avoid either playing games themselves are avoiding those that play games. For a Cancerean it's usually all or nothing, both of which they can cope with well. A Cancerean can avoid the battlefields of love for months or years, happy in their own independence and wary to get back into the game, for they know that when they do, their emotions will take them all the way in, quickly overwhelming them again.

This is such a nurturing and maternal sign that has such a genuine desire to take physical care of their lover, that they make exceptional marriage partners. A male Cancerean will take care of his home and his family and will see it as his job to nurture and protect the mother of his children. A female Cancerean will be a wonderful mother and homemaker, providing a special nest away from the harsh realities of life. Don't confuse all this with submissive domesticity, for these are very determined creatures, usually very successful in their chosen careers, but to them, a happy relationship and a happy home life are one in the same.

Because of this, a Cancerean is looking for stability in a mate, someone they can care for and can be cared for by and because of this they can be a little picky and possessive, mainly because once they've set their heart on someone, they don't want to lose them.

Just as the Moon orbits the earth, once a Cancerean has found a mate, they lik

to orbit around them and make that person the centre of their world. There will come a time when the fantasy that a Cancerean usually creates around their perception of a new lover, must eventually move over so that reality can take hold. It's during this transition stage, from fantasy to reality that most Cancerean relationships fail. But once safely through this reality check and a relationship is established, it usually lasts for a long time. However while Cancereans may fall in love easily, they??re not afraid to back out just as quickly, especially if a new lover doesn't pass the reality check.

Female Cancereans are attracted to older men or those that can provide, protect and care for them, almost in a paternal way. They're more than capable of doing this themselves, but the feeling of safety that someone stable gives them, is a big turn on.

A male Cancerean looks for a partner who is loving, loyal and brings out his desire to protect them. While he's unlikely to want to control someone in an unhealthy way, he does like to feel that he is the provider and can take care of his woman and his family.

Yeah this is dead on for me, word for word. A lot of things mentioned are things I've actually thought about when contemplating my relationships with others, ie me not being the type to play games..and me caring early on about the other's well-being. Its true that I do want to protect those I care for, especially their emotional well-being. As far as what was said about fantasy & reality and transition stages...right now I'm learning to try to keep my emotions down and work on forming and maintaining solid friendships before getting too optimistic about the relationship.

I'm going to be seeing a Leo Sun with Venus in Cancer. It's interesting to see the way I love from the outside perspective, when my Leo cooks for me, adores me with an expressive face, and touches me. Still, I nervously await the day of transition from vague daydreams, into practical reality. As you said, it is true, this part always hurt/cause problems in the past. Like the Fish, we are very shy people.

Yeah the part where fantasy becomes every day is very hard for me. Im a dreamer 🙂

Moonbunny, you are right, here. We need the Crabby down to earth attitude sometimes to come down to planet earth. And the Crab loves the romanticism and creativity and magic we can provide.

Cam, yes, being in love is the most wonderful and the most terrifying feeling in the world, because you are so exposed.
You face the possibility of a heart break, and that is devastating.this is why many people prefer not to fall, and just keep themselves protected this way. I think , NO PAIN NO GAIN.. i guess experience helps, and it makes us a bit wiser not to make the same mistakes over and over again, but again, you never know.
I have many friends who wont fall for anybody and prefer to stay alone just because theyve been disappointed and hurt in the past, so they dont want to be exposed to such hurt again. I understand. But falling in love also is the time in your life when you are most ALIVE. Full of feelings. It is indeed difficult, you face yourself when in a relationship, all comes out, the best, the worst. And you never know completely how the other feels. You just know YOU. That is scary. But I guess it is worth it...
