(from...) ( sag team). Mark Twain was bankrpupt multiple times in his life, he left earth "bitter". I know how that "bitter " feels. I feel i would have died same way if i did not meet a cancer man who showed me happiness right here. On earth, regardless of the debauchery around. Mark Twain was utterly disappointed by humanity as a whole species. I have not read his books they re too long for me, by the way. But i feel exactly the same way. Yet he said many times: what would be life without a good book, circle of good friends... he had put it differently cant rememebr exactly there was a small twist. ciao..

It is interesting to read Twain's writings as he aged, and how the tone changed slowly from humorous observations on human foibles to cynicism to almost contempt.
