5 weeks ago I found my new love, Yoga. I mostly got into it to build some strength and tone up my body, but in the meantime it has come to do so much more for me. It's becoming sort of like therapy for me, it's very tough but I can tell a definite difference in my body although the impact on my mind has been so much more.

As a Cancer, and I'm sure all of you agree, my brain is just one big mish mash of crap that I just let drag me down on a constant basis. Yoga has stopped all that, the quality of my life has grown 100% . My confidence has shot up, my energy and stamina is through the roof, it's given me the courage to get up off the couch...quit watching so much tv...and pursue other interests that I've been telling myself I could never be good at. Tonight I felt my brain finally quieting down and fully concentrating on the matter at hand, doing the poses, using my muscles, and breathing. I'm beginning to feel like a new person.

Am I the only one? If you've never tried it, I highly recommend it. I was skeptical at first but I honestly feel like my life is changed for the better and I'll never go back to the way things were.

🙂

How wonderful it is to hear someone talk about an amazing part of their life ... rather than just bitch about their life, which is what most people do around here ... eventhough, as you've experienced, there is really nothing to bitch about in life that you aren't the maker of and controller of.

Yoga is great, and so is anything in life that creates a sense of gratitude for yourself.

*** Claps hands *** to you gettting up off the couch and turning the television off. Keep on the road your travelling, for it leads you to realizing that you are your director, and lets you know that you can, if you know you can.

So true! I get tired of hearing everybody whining so I just try to concentrate on all the good things. Life is what you make it, to a certain extent anyway, and sometimes I think some folks just make stupid choices so they'll have something to bitch about lol.

Yoga is something I have been looking into for a while now. I have a few friends who are into it and there is a group that does it in the park by my house. I guess I will grow the vajj to ask them if I can join them because I def need to find another way to center myself.......Either that or MMA.......Good going for you! And through taking these classes you can also meet new people as well......that would be a great place to meet a sisterly friend.....Good Luck!
