Cancers: Democratic or Republican?

As a Brit with high-level qualifications in both American Studies and astrology, I would like to know whether you think that Cancers are more naturally Democratic or Republican. Although the Democrats are supposed to be the more overtly "caring" party, I guess that Republicans would say that care does not have to (and perhaps should not) come through the state and that individuals should be able to choose who they do and do not want to care for and help (perhaps through Christianity) rather than being forced to pay so much tax money, a lot of which is squandered in any case (and who likes paying taxes?)
I have visited America but also France many times and in many ways France is the polar opposite of America in terms of the role of the state in people's lives: there the state seems to run everything, but as far as I can see this has led to a retreat from personal responsibility in terms of caring in that French people are on the whole notably UNCARING and even hostile towards one another.
So as caring Cancerians, which version of caring (state or personal) do you more readily support?
I'm not a Cancer
But as for what the two parties focus on when it comes down to it:
Dems = best interest of the people
Repubs = best interest of big business (and, screwing the people is of no concern as long as profits are made)
You decide!
Pro:
Life
Big ass military to defend our CAPITALISTIC society
Tax-cuts (if you tax the rich too much, they'll spend less money. Where does REAL revenue come from? One time tax on a dolllar, or taxing that mother fucker every time it gets spent)
Some social benefit. I think nation-wide healthcare is a pipe dream.
Social Security
Medicaid for those who actually need it and get off their lazy fucking asses and work
Foodstamps for the same aforementioned people
Against:
Socialist welfare
Too many ridiculous taxes designed to siphon money from people to pay for behind-the scenes projects that we didn't ask for.
Bailouts
Increased bailout for companies and banks that don't play by the fucking rules.
Political pocket lining
Lobbying
Lazy mother fuckers.
People who feel entitled to have what somebody else has worked hard for.

I'm conservative on a ton of issues. I agree that social health and well-being is in the best interest of our country, but the fact of the matter is that we will NEVER be able to tax enough revenue to pay for all the shit our Left-wing Presidency wants to pay for. Period. You tax the reach - they'll clam up and move their businesses elsewhere. I spend $ 10 a day. Wal-mart CEO spends $ 10,000 a day. Life isn't fair. Whose money is going to provide more of a direct impact on the economy? My 10 or is 10,000.
I'm willing to concede some points of view to Liberals, because I do believe that there are circumstances where people need assistance, and living in this country - deserve the very best money can offer. Nation-wide free healthcare is a fucking pipedream, however.
I'm also a Functionalist.
I lean conservative......

I also believe that ALL governments are rediculously incompetent with fiscal policy.

+1
I'm independent, though I lean toward the liberal side mostly because I'm a bit of a romantic and believe that with time people will grow and learn to uphold morals over profit. That day will likely only occur once there is no more profit to be made i.e. when resources are limitless (entirely possible, but not for at least another millennium by my guess).
Democrats and Republicans have been fighting over America since 1860, and since then our government has shifted from one end of the liberal/conservative line to the other as the needs of the country demanded.
Each party represents a fundamental mindset; the Republicans believe in individual rights and responsibility, and when they are in control shit gets done and people get rich. After a while, however, the power and wealth corrupts and the individuals begin to strangle the country's potential by holding others back to protect their own interests.
The Democrats believe in the rights and responsibilities of the government/community, and when they are in control we get our best humanitarian work done and the less fortunate are given the opportunity to rise from the gutters and become productive members of society. After a while, however, the power and authority corrupts and the government begins to drain too heavily on the people, again strangling the country's potential by wasting time and resources on bureaucracy and politics.
Both parties have their merits, and their flaws. I vote for whoever advocates the mindset our country needs at the given time.
As for right now between Romney and Obama, I'm still undecided.
I don't belong to Rethug or the Democunts. I'm on the fringe......

I honestly just wanted to post that gif. I'm neither. I don't vote.
