Dating websites and being in a relationship....

If you were in a relationship with someone; Do you feel that it's okay to log onto dating websites talking, perhaps meeting people of the opposite sex? What is taking it too far when it comes to this? Have you ever been in a relationship with someone that was a member to a dating website? How did you feel about it? What did you do? If you have not had this experience, please feel free to state your opinions and/or feelings on the subject.

I totally agree. However, you have some who feel that there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. This one guy told me the reason why he goes on dating websites even when having a girlfriend is a way to know if he still got it. I feel once you are in a relationship and it's serious there is no reason to go onto a dating website to meet and talk with those of the opposite sex that can get a bit messy don't you think. Let's say a guy meets a girl on a dating website while dating someone serious, soon or later someone's feelings are going to get hurt. And there is definitely some dishonesty going on.

So then you would agree that no matter how you put it, this should not be done while in a "serious" relationship right?

Ok it's totally different when you're in a relationship with someone and is still open to meeting people on a dating website giving out your telephone number etc. Than having a couple who agree on things such as swinging, threesomes and so on, those can always be open for discussion. But if you are going onto a dating website, what's the point something is missing here especially if you need to go onto a website to see if you still got it.

I think its more about this guy's ego than anything else

it depends on the rules of that particular relationship. It wouldn't be ok with me, but some people would be fine with it.
