long story short I was dating a cancer sun gemini moon for awhile (3 months) WE WERE MAGIC and all the moments we shared just were so amazing but than he kept going in and out of my life and thats when I found out he had been seeing someone on the side so I took my dignity and left. It hurt me badly. 8 months later, he texts me tonight to ask me how I have been doing (my stomach literally dropped) a part of me wants to text back but i dont want to open old wounds.

Hell no. Unless you plan on losing that dignity you fought so hard to keep. Move on. He's already shown you he can't be trusted. If he wants you that bad he can grovel on his knees for all I care. Move on.
