Hello to all the regualr posters on the board, i oftern read your advice on many issues and have decided to venture out of my shell for this one!!

Do you guys (fellow crabs) find that you have a problem with weight?? i have noticed that since teh breakup with my last bf (a libra!) it doesnt matter how much i want to loose a few extra pounds, it is not happening. I will start the day off eating salad and end up pigging out on chocolate. I am not really mourning over my last relationship but wonder if the overeating can be a trait of the crabs? are any of you prone to comfort eating nad how do you deal with it??

Thanks for all your help

I always have some extra baggage, but my rooster restlessness makes me work a lot and not eat much. I just fill up on good stuff at night and in the weekends. I should be a lot fatter, so i'm not surprised the crabby girls are so often round or fat.

I think making your meals more varied would help, eat less of each thing, but eat various things at each meal, with tea and water regularly.

Having lost a whole bunch of lb's I can tell ya it ain't easy. I love to eat 🙂 compounded with my body type that tends to put weight at an alarming rate along with the fact that I eat alot when depressed...it can all be pretty nasty.

What I recommend is this:

Drink lots of water! It helps to keep u full. Just before you eat anything, try to drink two glasses of water and wait for 1-2 mins before you start munching. you'll find that you will get full quikly.

Try to keep the diet varied and portioned. Ideally a portion of food (meat) is about the size you can fit in your fist. (veggies and green you can have as much as you like) Avoid, carbac-ious (curve-adding) foods like rice and bread, and you gotta kill the junk (fried/chocs) etc.

Oh yeah, you also have to exercise, dieting alone wont help you lose the weight - add in around 30-60 mins workouts and you'll drop it in no time!

I know what youre going through, after getting my heart smashed I went on a 2 week eating binge 🙂

I do comfort eat, watch movies and DXP....but I'm pretty active outdoors and my metab is faster than most...so despite myself, I have always been pretty fit....when I have the inspiration I can buff and tone. Sorry 😢 But my suggestion would be to be more active, it lets natural endorphins flow which speed up metab, make ya feel good all over and curtail apetite. Sugar and simple carbs are addictive, slow metab and drop you mood like a rock falling, if you force yourself to avoid them for three weeks you will have won the battle. Go sweat and enjoy!

well it sounds like you're eating for comfort, or eating emotionally.....I don't do that personally and I don't think its a cancer trait per se,but seeing the emotional nature of cancers and our high propensity to be depressed on average I can see how we'd be more prone to eating in such a fashion than most.

Self control is one of the main things that a cancer can master to help ourselves. Otherwise self-destructive behavior will be easy to fall into in those low moments.
